The evil Willa Brock
Willa Brock (Kathleen Rose Perkins) is the main villainess from "Rose-Colored Glasses," episode 2.11 of The Mentalist (airdate January 14, 2009).
In high school, Willa Brock was the most popular girl on the campus. She was class president and a champion debater; overall, as Jane put it, Willa was at the top of the social hierarchy. One day, Derek Logan--a shy and quiet student--irked Willa when he told others that she touched him. Mortified and furious, Willa masterminded a cruel prank on Derek, and manipulated Selby Vickers (who had a bit of a crush on Willa) to help him.
The prank had Derek taken to the girl's locker room, where he was blindfolded with his underwear and photographed by Selby, with Willa posing next to Derek. The prank ruined Derek's life, as he and his family moved shortly afterwards, and as revealed by Rigsby, Derek developed a heroin addiction and died of an overdose on his 23rd birthday.
In the years that passed, Willa became a successful talk show host in Chicago; in fact, it was revealed that her show was going national. She was contacted by Selby, who was blackmailing her with photos from their prank, as he needed the money to help keep his wife Jana, a Polish immigrant, from being deported. Willa had no intentions on paying Selby, figuring that the blackmailing would never end, and during a planned meeting, Willa shot and killed Selby and Jana, and later took the negatives and photographs for herself.
Willa was revealed as the couple's killer when Jane sent in Rigsby to pose as Derek Logan at the reunion. The sight of the fake Logan caused Willa to walk away to her room, where Jane and Lisbon encountered her as she was packing. After her reveal, Willa expressed her disgust at Derek and her anger at Selby for "growing a spine" after marrying Jana, while stating that "things would have been perfect if he (Selby) stayed lonely and pathetic"; still portraying herself as the mean girl she was in high school. Willa was arrested for killing Jana and Selby Vickers.
