Vivian

Evil mastermind Vivian

Vivian (Lisa Long) is the main villainess from the 2024 Lifetime film, You Better Watch Out (airdate December 5, 2024).

Introduction[]

Vivian was introduced as one of many passengers stuck at an airport during a snow storm, and she encounters main protagonist Aubrey, who was on her way to Chicago to visit her sister. The two women bonded due to their plight, though the film's progression saw Aubrey witness an actual kidnapping, which was followed by Aubrey walking towards a van and seeing a young girl, named Chloe, inside--tied up and gagged. Aubrey's attempts to tell others about Chloe were met with skepticism, though she was believed by a man named Finn, who appeared to help out Aubrey.

Aubrey suspected that Armstrong, the airport's security guard, was involved in the kidnapping, though she feared that Finn was involved after seeing him with a satellite phone that was familiar to her. Regarding Vivian, Aubrey informed her about Chloe and actually showed her the van, with Vivian gushing over how beautiful Chloe looked. Both women discussed possible suspects in the abduction while drinking together, but all of a sudden, Aubrey suddenly felt woozy and collapsed. All the while, Vivian turned heel and gave a sinister smile which revealed that she drugged Aubrey, and it was followed by Aubrey being tied up and confronted by the villainous Vivian.

As Aubrey figured out, Chloe was being brought to Vivian, who revealed herself as Chloe's grandmother. The villainess stated that Chloe's father, Jason (one of Vivian's sons) was in jail, but would be released, and was looking to see Chloe, while also denigrating Chloe's mother for keeping her away from Jason's family. Vivian also revealed that Finn was her other son, and that he was involved in the abduction, while voicing her stance that Chloe belonged with her father's side of the family and claimed that no one would be hurt, but she would harm Aubrey to get what she wanted. Unbeknownst to Vivian, Aubrey helped Chloe escape, with Finn finding the van and seeing that it was empty.

The climax saw Vivian and Finn search for both Aubrey and Chloe, who had help in subduing the third accomplice, Armstrong. The pair were tracked to a closed store and barricaded themselves inside, but afterwards, Vivian (armed with a taser) pursued Aubrey and captured her, which was followed by the madwoman ordering her granddaughter to come out under the threat of hurting Aubrey if she didn't comply. Chloe emerges, and later sprays a fire extinguisher at her evil grandmother's eyes, hampering her sight as she tried to attack Aubrey, who disarmed Vivian and used the taser on her. After Chloe was successfully returned to her mother, Vivian was arrested for the abduction, and she faced 20 years to life in prison. As for Finn, he ended up killed by Aubrey in self defense after confronting her at her home two weeks later when he attempted to poison her.
