Villainous conspirator Vera
Vera (Emily Pick) was a villainess from the 2025 Lifetime film, The Paradise Murders (airdate October 10, 2025).
Vera was a housekeeper at the Crescendo, a resort where main protagonist Emma Clarkson and her husband, Jake Clarkson, were celebrating their anniversary. Emma's encounter with Vera revealed that Vera had known Gabriela Adams, who also worked as a housekeeper at the resort, with Vera revealing to Emma that Gabriela had passed since Emma last saw her. Unbeknownst to Emma, Vera had been in league with Isla Brooks and Jarrod Dobson, a pair of con artists who were extorting various guests--with Jake being their latest intended victim.
In addition, Vera was also a cohort with Lee Adams (Gabriela's son), who had a crush on Emma since childhood. Under Lee's orders, Vera gave Sarah Taylor's diary to Emma, with the entries actually written by Lee as part of his plan to drive a wedge between Emma and anyone in Lee's way. Upon realizing that Lee's scheme involved murder, Vera backed out, leading to Lee attacking and killing Vera by snapping her neck. Vera's reveal as a villainess aligned with the con artists was revealed by Detective Evan, while Lee later revealed Vera's role in his scheme to Emma.
