The evil Zofia Redlynn
Zofia Redlynn (Stacy Haiduk) is a redeemed villainess from the 2018 Lifetime film, A Father's Nightmare (airdate July 22, 2018).
Zofia Redlynn's backstory revealed that she was involved in a romantic relationship with Matt Carmichael, which resulted in the conception and birth of their daughter, Amanda (the eventual main villainess of the film and it's 2012 predecessor, A Mother's Nightmare). Zofia's mother never approved of the relationship, and after Matt ended things with Zofia, Amanda ended up abducted by her maternal grandmother, who committed the act out of spite.
Zofia eventually regained her daughter from her villainous mother, and later renamed her Vanessa. Despite their reunion, however, Zofia turned heel by planning to kill Vanessa as part of a murder-suicide plot, with increasing frustration and anger over raising Vanessa as a single mother serving as the motive for Zofia's heel turn. As part of the plot, the evil Zofia intended to kill Vanessa and then herself, though her method was never revealed. Vanessa ended up rescued from Zofia and placed into foster care, and throughout her childhood and adult life, Vanessa believed that her mother successfully committed suicide and was unaware of Zofia's actions as a maniacal villainess.
Zofia was briefly introduced in the 2018 film as a patient at a psychiatric facility, but she returned in the film's climax, which saw Vanessa attempt to kill her half-sister, Lisa Carmichael. Zofia introduced herself to Vanessa as her mother, and she expressed her remorse over her villainous actions, stating that she wasn't ready to be a mother at the time. As Vanessa was being taken into custody, Zofia sung her familiar song--which Vanessa sings as an anthem to her psychotic actions.
