Redeemed villainess Mrs. Durant
Mrs. Durant (Janet Scott) was a redeemed villainess from the 2024 Lifetime film, The Replacement Daughter (airdate April 28, 2024).
Mrs. Durant was a housekeeper working for main villainess Eva Roberts, who took in main protagonist Jessica Grady after her mother, Liza Grady, was comatose following a hit-and-run. Unbeknownst to Jessica, Eva was behind the attempt on Liza, as well as the murder of Liza and Jessica's friend, Helen, as Eva wanted Jessica as her own daughter to replace her deceased adoptive daughter, Sarah. As Eva gloated about her time with Jessica, Mrs. Durant warned Eva that Liza could awaken at any moment, and it was followed by Eva learning about Liza beginning to recover.
Afterwards, Eva was confronted by Jessica, who learned about Eva's plan to take her to Europe. At that moment, Mrs. Durant turned heel by chloroforming Jessica, and later telling Eva that they could escape together, only for Eva to remind her housekeeper that she would not leave without Jessica, who ended up imprisoned in one of the rooms in the house. As Jessica screamed to to be let out, Mrs. Durant voiced her remorse for her actions, and later approached Eva with a reminder that she was there for her through the deaths of Sarah and Craig Soloman (the latter being Eva's husband), and pleaded with Eva to let Jessica go, only for Eva to drown Mrs. Durant in the sink in response.
