Villainous professor Amy Zahn
Amy Zahn (Shannon Farnon) is the main villainess from "The Fifty Foot Woman," the opening segment of episode 2.10 of SuperFriends (aired as the 10th episode of The All-New SuperFriends Hour on November 12, 1977).
Amy Zahn is an ambitious science professor who had been obsessed with being stronger than the male gender, and in the segment's opening, she informed her assistant, Dr. Taylor, that she had devised a formula that would make women stronger and equal to men. In response to Zahn's plan to take the forumla herself, Taylor stated that a formula wasn't needed to make women equal to men, while adding that her formula was untested. Zahn scoffed at Taylor's statements and drank the concoction, which ended up turning her into a 50-foot giantess.
Elated with her immense size, Zahn turned heel and caused havoc around the entire city, laughing maniacally over her massive strength and power. Taylor contacted the Hall of Justice and informed Wonder Woman, Batman, and Robin about Zahn's insane actions, leading to the trio heading to the city to capture the villainess. However, Batman's attempt to subdue her with his Bat Tranqulizer resulted in him bing captured by the evil Zahn, who decided to use Batman in her next experiment.
Zahn planned to take Batman to the scientific research ship, when Robin appeared and distracted the villainess, leading to Zahn getting her hand stuck inside the ship in an attempt to capture Robin. After Robin helped Batman escape, Wonder Woman appeared in her invisible jet with Dr. Taylor, who had the antidote, after which the trio combined their jets and tied up Zahn. The villainess cackled after obtaining the invisible jet, only for Taylor to spray her boss with the antidote, returning Zahn back to her normal size. At segment's end, Zahn, Taylor, and the trio of superheroes appeared at Zahn's lab, with Zahn expressing her remorse for her actions and adding that she realized that strength of character was more important than physical strength.
