Trudee (Juliana DeStefano) is the main villainess from the 2022 Lifetime film, Deadly Garage Sale (airdate January 2, 2022).

Introduction[]

Trudee was introduced as a customer at a garage sale, only to quickly be revealed as a conspirator in robbing the sale with her brother, Pete. The siblings later appeared at a garage sale run by main protagonist Marcia Clattenburg, though their attempt to rob that sale saw Pete caught by Marcia, leading to a scuffle that saw Pete fall down the stairs and to his death. Upon seeing her brother deceased, Trudee blamed Marcia for Pete's death, and plotted revenge against her.

The villainess tracked Marcia (who has dreamed of killing her) and her adopted daughter, Candice Clattenburg, to another garage sale, and later introduced herself to Marcia as a friendly neighbor who was looking to help out the pair. She also befriended Candice, though Trudee later snuck into the Clattenburg house and captured Marcia's passwords to her financial information, and as part of her plan, Trudee enlisted her father, Rick Breedlove, to seduce Marcia and later rob all of her accounts. The duo was later shown splitting Marcia's money; however, Trudee revealed her plan to take Marcia's house, voicing her desire to take everything from Marcia as payback for Pete's death.

Trudee later witnessed a confronatation between the Clattenburgs and Evelyn Rogers, the head of the HOA, who ordered them to shut their latest garage sale and mocked Marcia for quitting her job as a lawyer before intentionally breaking a kettle that they were selling, leading to Candice angrily shoving Evelyn. The villainess later entered Evelyn's house, stripped to her underwear (to prevent splatter onto her clothes), and stabbed her to death, as she was planning to use the confrontation to frame Candice for the murder. Candice ended up arrested due to her pair of scissors being used, and afterwards, Trudee attempted to convince Marcia to sell off some of Candice's cherished things, including Isabella, a doll Candice played with as a child.

Climax & Arrest[]

Trudee Saw

Trudee at her house planning to kill Marcia Clattenburg to know the truth

As Marcia was cleaning the house, Trudee pointed out that she missed a spot, referring to the spot of blood left by Pete's death. She stated that Marcia shoved Pete, though Marcia stated that it wasn't the case, though the mention of the day in question led Marcia to suspect something off about Trudee. Marcia later struck a converstation about Pete, claiming that he deserved to die in order to push Trudee's buttons, and it was followed by Trudee calling Rick and voicing her desire to kill Marcia, who overheard the call. Marcia later tracked Trudee to her and Rick's hideout, and overheard Trudee's plan to take Marcia's house.

However, Marcia's phone going off led to her being caught by the villainous pair, with Trudee ordering Marcia to sign over the house, which Marcia does. Afterwards, the evil Trudee ordered Rick to tie up Marcia, as she planned on killing Marcia and making it appear that she was a suicidal mother who couldn't deal with Candice being in jail. The vengeful villainess picked up a power saw as her weapon of choice, knocking out Rick in response to his attempts to stop her before moving towards Marcia. It was at that moment that Trudee suddenly heard sirens, and upon seeing the police appear at the house, the villainess wondered how they found her, with Marcia revealing that she activated her live stream.

Trudee escaped, only for Marcia to subdue the villainess and knock her out with a trash can. In the film's final scenes, Candice (who ended up released) revealed that both Trudee and Rick were arrested for their crimes.
