The evil Tiffany Hartfield
Tiffany Hartfield (Courtney Lauren Cummings) is the main villainess from the 2022 Lifetime film, A Gift of Murder (originally titled, Psycho Sweet Sixteen; airdate March 17, 2022).
Introduction[]
Tiffany Hartfield is a "queen bee" at a high school attended by main protagonist Dylan Montrose, who transferred to the school after her mother, Cindy Montrose, ended up in rehab after a car crash. After Dylan outshines Tiffany in their chemistry class, Tiffany begins to antagonize Dylan, beginning with providing Dylan with a uniform laced with poison ivy--causing Dylan to develop a rash. Tiffany's antagonism turned to villainy when she noticed that Dylan was studying with Tiffany's boyfriend, Jonah, as well as Dylan booking Harcourt Manor for her Sweet 16 party.
Harcourt Manor was Tiffany's desired site for her own Sweet 16, and after lashing out at her mother, Gloria, for failing to get it for her, Tiffany became further deranged and stalked Dylan and Jonah, and later invited Dylan's family to the school's track meet. The scheming Tiffany served Cindy a drugged drink (after learning about Cindy's addiction to painkillers), and after Cindy began feeling the effects, Tiffany pretended to assist Cindy, only to smash Cindy's head on the wall and knock her out. An attempt to humiliate Dylan during a party only ends with Tiffany losing Jonah as her boyfriend, as Jonah ended things with Tiffany and offered to be Dylan's date at her party.
Later on, Tiffany was approached by Mr. Dixon, her chemistry teacher, regarding her behavior and slipping grades, adding that he informed Gloria about Tiffany's issues. In response, Tiffany blamed Dixon separating her and Jonah for her problems, and became furious when Dixon suggested that she should see a therapist. A second meeting ended with Tiffany angrily blasting Dixon before causing him to fall down the stairs and to his death, with the villainess smirking over Dixon's fatal fall.
Climax and Arrest[]
Tiffany later planned to damage Dylan's reputation, while blackmailing Maya into colluding with her in her insidious plan, which saw Tiffany give an anonymous tip about drug use within the track team. After the call was made, Tiffany spread the rumor that Dylan made the call, causing Dylan to be ostracized and bullied by the other students. However, Cindy ended up exposing Tiffany's role when she released the phone records connected to the call, and afterwards, the evil Tiffany fumed over her plan's failure and resorted to another plan: destroying the Harcourt Manor out of spite.
Once the pair drove to the Harcourt Manor, Tiffany started a fire in the building, destroying it to the point where Dylan's party had to be canceled. The pair of villainesses spoke about the act on the following day, with Tiffany assuring Maya that no one knew about their role. However, Julia (Dylan's best friend) overheard the girls and informed Dylan, who obtained the phone records and confronted Maya. After Dylan recorded Maya's confession, it ended up sent to the police, and Tiffany was arrested just as her Sweet 16 party was starting, with the villainess lashing out at her guests for judging her.
