Villainous Beauties Wiki
Tess Stern

Tess Stern (Kayleigh Gilbert) was the main villainess from the 2018 horror film, Reborn.

Tess Stern was the long lost daughter of actress Lena O'Neil, with Tess' backstory revealing that she was stillborn in 2002. She was sent to a morgue, where an electric storm suddenly revived her, with morgue attendant Kenny Stern hearing Tess' cries and taking her as his own. In the sixteen years that passed, Tess served as Kenny's adopted sister, and in the film's events, Tess reminded Kenny that it was her 16th birthday, and that Kenny promised her that he would reveal her origin.

Kenny refused and attempted sexually assault Tess, who later used her electrokinetic powers to fight against Kenny and eventually kill him. She later went on a search for Lena and confronted Dr. Ince, who delivered her. Ince, who had already dealt with Lena regarding information about her daughter, dismissed Tess' introduction after showing him her tag from the morgue, and later admonished Ince for leaving her for dead before using her powers to kill him.

Tess found Lena's address and met her birth mother while posing as a budding actress, after which they performed a scene together--much to the dismay of fellow student Gia Fontaine. Another person who noticed Tess and Lena's bond was the latter's friend and agent, Dory Ryder, who accused Lena of working with Tess because she knew that Tess was unable to upstage her, and after overhearing their conversation, Tess saw Dory as an obstacle and decided to kill her, and it was later that evening that the villainess tracked Dory to a parking garage and used her abilities to send a car to run down Dory and later back into her, completely killing Dory.

Tess encountered Gia outside Lena's class, with Gia informing Tess that she would slander Lena and ruin her career. Later that evening, Tess confronted Gia and ordered her to apologize to Lena, and when she wouldn't, Tess used her powers to send the power lines towards Gia, resulting in Gia being fatally electrocuted. In the film's climax, Tess revealed her true identity to Lena, who received a phone call from detective Marc Fox stating that Tess was behind the murders. The villainess used her abilities to cut off Lena's phone, and then lashed out at her mother and accused her of abandoning her before setting out on killing her. Just as Tess was about to do so, Fox entered and shot Tess, who later died in her mother's arms.
