The evil Suzanne Dell
Suzanne Dell (Brooke Burns) was the main villainess from the 2013 Lifetime film, A Sister's Revenge (airdate April 27, 2013).
Backstory[]
Suzanne Dell's backstory revealed that she was born Suzanne Delligan, and would be abused by her father. She threatened her father with a knife when he started beating her younger sister, Ariel Delligan. As a result, Suzanne spent three years in a psychiatric facility, and later on, Ariel engaged in a relationship with main protagonist Michael Miller, which resulted in a pregnancy.
However, Michael ended things with Ariel, after voicing his lack of readiness regarding parenthood. Ariel had an abortion afterwards, but she remained despondent over the break-up to the point where she committed suicide--shooting herself in the head while recording herself on video.
Events[]
In the film's events, Suzanne turned heel and plotted a sinister revenge on Michael, who she blamed for Ariel's suicide. After learning about Michael's restaurant business, Suzanne began her villainous plot by running down Amber, the hostess of Michael's Bar and Grill, in her car while Amber was riding her bike. With Amber out injured, Suzanne entered the restaurant and made a charming impression on Michael, leading to her being hired as Amber's temporary replacement. The villainess later sabotage the restaurant by setting a fire in the kitchen, and during a night out, Suzanne drugged Michael's drink and videotaped herself posing seductively over her incapacitated victim, who she also handcuffed to the bed.
When Michael came to the next morning, Suzanne gave the impression that they had an illicit tryst, after which she ignored Michael's pleas to free him and left. Later on, Michael fired Suzanne, who later blackmailed Michael by demanding $75,000 or she would release a video of them to Michael's wife, Catherine. Michael acquiesced and paid the villainess off, but afterwards, Suzanne began working as a personal trainer and befriending Catherine, much to Michael's consternation, and again sabotaged the restaurant by planting a cockroach inside, with a customer finding it on her meal. Michael ended up learning about Suzanne's backstory, which included being Ariel's sister, figuring that Suzanne was angry at him for ending things with Ariel. After meeting wtih Suzanne, Michael stated that she wanted to apologize to Ariel, only for Suzanne to reveal to Michael that Ariel had committed suicide, and that she wanted Michael to suffer for (in her mind) causing her death.
Watching Ariel's suicide on video again increased Suzanne's anger, and after leaving a matchbook in the crib of Michael and Catherine's son Evan (with Evan nearly choking on it), the evil Suzanne entered the Miller home and laced a pitcher of tea with antifreeze, with Catherine drinking a portion of the tainted concoction and feeling the effects. She ended up hospitalized afterwards, and as part of Suzanne's plan, Michael ended up arrested and charged with attempting to kill his wife, with the "affair" with Suzanne being a motive.
Climax and Death[]
Suzanne holding Michael at gunpoint
Following Catherine's release from the hospital and Michael's bailout, Suzanne (with the help of her boyfriend, Jimmy) attacked Catherine in her sister, Gwen's, home and abducted Evan, after which Suzanne phoned Michael and ordered him to meet her at the restaurant. The villainess ordered Michael not to call the police, threatening to kill Evan if he didn't comply. After Michael arrived, Suzanne had him record a confession to the attempt on Catherine's life, with Michael acquiescing before demanding his infant son.
Jimmy entered with Evan, but at that moment, Suzanne pointed a gun at Michael and reneged on their original deal in favor of her true plan: killing Michael. The maniacal villainess lashed out at Michael over Ariel's suicide, and stated that Michael should suffer the same fate, with plans to make his death appear as a suicide. Jimmy refused to go through with Suzanne's plan, causing Suzanne to scream at him, but while doing so, Michael charged at Suzanne and struggled over the gun, which resulted in Jimmy being shot non-fatally. Suzanne and Michael continued struggling over the gun, until the gun was fired a second time, not at Michael as Suzanne intended, but at Suzanne herself, fatally wounding her and causing her to fall to the ground. Suzanne had enough time to witness Michael escaping to save Evan before she died, knowing she had failed in her plan of killing Michael, which was then permanently sealed when an arrested Jimmy revealed her entire scheme to the police.
