The evil Sienna Lawton
Sienna Lawton (Yvonne Zima) is the main villainess from the 2020 Lifetime film, Killer Prom (airdate April 19, 2020).
Backstory[]
Sienna Lawton is the first cousin of Hannah Wilson, who is married to cardiologist Tony Wilson and the mother of their children, Maya and Luke Wilson. Sienna's backstory revealed that she had harbored intense jealousy of her cousin, which was noticed by her mother, Dorothy Lawton. In addition, Sienna previously worked as a realtor's secretary, but was fired after their affair was publicized by the realtor's wife, who ended up in the hospital after a hit-and-run accident, with the indication that Sienna was responsible.
Events[]
Sienna's jealousy of Hannah increased in the film's events, which saw her at a family gathering before taking Hannah out to the sea on a boat that once belonged to Hannah's mother. Sienna suddenly stopped in the middle of the sea, much to Hannah's bewilderment, and later began voicing her true envy of Hannah before lashing out at her cousin. In response to Hannah's questions about what her deranged cousin wanted, Sienna simply stated that she wanted Tony and wanted her good life, right before she shoved Hannah into the water and ignored Hannah's pleas for help, watching her cousin drown due to her inability to swim.
The villainess later phoned Tony and informed him that she would be moving in with him and his family, while making a false claim that she was applying to become a realtor. After greeting Tony and his children, Sienna began her mission to become (in her mind) the true woman of the house, first by getting the family's housekeeper, Janet Macturn, out of the way. After making an impression on Maya and her best friend, Violet, by intimidating mean girl Kat Merritt, Sienna drugged Janet's drink after learning about her past alcoholism. She later tracked Janet and watched as she picked up Luke, mocking her situation before calling the police on Janet, resulting in Janet's termination.
Sienna reveled in being the main woman in the household, until she learned about Tony's assistant, Lauren King, with Maya revealing that Lauren was divorced and had been acting flirtatious towards Tony. Lauren was antagonized by Sienna during their first encounter when she intentionally took an overdose of allergy medicine to have Tony treat her at his office, and at a home barbecue later on, Sienna spotted Lauren making her entrance and voiced her fury while staring at a bathroom mirror, with Lauren overhearing Sienna loudly mention her plans to have Tony all to herself. Upon learning that Lauren was heading to a nearby gym, the evil Sienna tracked Lauren and confronted her at a stairway regarding Tony, right before she shoved Lauren down the stairs, killing her.
Climax and Arrest[]
Sienna attacking Tony Wilson in the film's climax
The film's progression saw Maya become suspicious of her cousin and voicing her concerns to Tony, only for Sienna to sweet-talk Tony and Maya and continue her plans. As Maya was leaving for prom with her date, Jake Davis, the film's climax saw Sienna (after Tony passed out from the drugged champagne Sienna gave him) donning a dress similar to Maya's and surprising Tony with a dinner date, while revealing her affections for him. A bewildered Tony turned down Sienna's advances, causing the villainess to break down and complain about the "hard work" she put in regarding becoming the woman of the house, adding that she had to do some unsavory things. It was at this point that Sienna admitted to killing Hannah, and after Tony attempted to escape, the psychotic villainess struck Tony's head with a champagne bottle.
Meanwhile, Maya had made contact with Dorothy and learned about Sienna's psychotic nature, leading to Maya and Jake returning home, where Sienna had duct taped Tony's hands together before pushing him in the pool. Upon seeing Jake and Maya had returned home, the villainous madwoman went after the pair with a knife, stabbing Jake (non-fatally) during a struggle while Maya escaped and rescued her father. Sienna later ran outside the house and confessed to Maya that she had killed Hannah, tearfully breaking down and claiming that she didn't mean to kill her first cousin. As Jake was being placed inside an ambulance, Sienna was shown leaving the house in handcuffs; under arrest, but continuing to voice her love for Tony.
