The evil Rebecca Jones
Rebecca Jones (Brittany Goodwin) is the main villainess from the 2023 Lifetime film, A View to Kill For (airdate April 20, 2023).
Introduction[]
Rebecca Jones was introduced as a realtor who greeted main protagonist Molly Nolan, who moved to Blanca Bay with her husband, Charlie Nolan, and children Heather and Finn Nolan. Molly had inherited her new house from her father, Lionel Fitzpatrick, who died six weeks prior, and the film's progression showed Rebecca giving Molly a tour of her new house and the town. However, after the Nolans find a threatening message written on the walls, Rebecca informed Molly about Lionel's ex-fiancee, Darla Weaver, claiming that she could be targeting the Nolans out of bitterness over not getting the house.
The suspicion towards Darla increased when Theresa Diaz, Lionel's lawyer, was found deceased at a gathering, and after this, Molly became alarmed when she discovered that Heather was dating Darla's son, Paul Weaver; all the while, Molly spotted a gas spill as part an attempt to have the house burned down. After Theresa's sudden death, Molly entered Theresa's office to gain the files on Lionel, which revealed that Lionel was actually murdered on the night in question, and in addition, Molly's latest unfriendly encounter with neighbor Justine Spencer saw a revelation that Justine was responsible for reuniting Lionel and Molly, though Molly was accused of only caring about money.
Reveal[]
Rebecca holding Molly at gunpoint
Justine's statement confused Molly, as she had never met her father, and it was followed by Molly learning that Lionel had another daughter, with Molly wondering if the adoption agency who took the other daughter accidentally switched them. Molly received confirmation that Lionel was her biological father, but afterwards, Molly spotted an empty detergent box in the trash and realized that the same culprit was attempting to poison Molly and her family. After police were called, Molly angrily confronted Darla, who admitted to her anger over not getting the house but denied the accusations against her, with her denial including a revelation that she gave Rebecca a spare key to the Nolan house.
This led Molly to realize that Rebecca was behind everything, and after Rebecca appeared at the house and greeted Charlie, she knocked out Charlie and pursued Molly as she returned to the house. Rebecca later appeared and held Molly at gunpoint, while revealing herself as Lionel's other daughter, who was put up for adoption. Via Justine, Rebecca reunited with Lionel, who refused to see her, claiming that all she cared about was money, with Rebecca admitting her trait after stating that she was raised in poverty. On that night in question, Lionel was suffering a heart attack, but during this point, Rebecca appeared at the house and dumped her father's heart medication in the sink, and later watched as Lionel fatally succumbed.
Upon learning that her half-sister received everything in Lionel's will, the evil Rebecca covertly terrorized the Nolans, and later killed Theresa by drugging her drink, as Theresa knew the truth about Lionel's death. The villainess also attempted to burn down the house, dousing the garage with gasoline and leaving a lit cigarette to be knocked over and start the fire, and later poisoned the tea with detergent in another attempt to kill the Nolans. Rebecca vented over Lionel abandoning both her and Molly, as well as her belief that Lionel didn't love her, right before Heather appeared and knocked out her deranged aunt with a bat. Afterwards, Rebecca was shown in handcuffs and in police custody, arrested for her long list of crimes.
