Psychotic murderess Rachel Windsor

Psychotic murderess Rachel Windsor

Rachel Windsor (Anna Baryshnikov) was the main villainess from "Bad Manners," episode 2.05 of Prodigal Son (airdate February 9, 2021).

Rachel Windsor was introduced as the assistant to Sarah Windsor, the headmistress of the Windsor School of Etiquette; though in actuality, Rachel was Sarah's only daughter. She was the result of a fling between Sarah and Rachel's unnamed father (who Sarah referred to as "the wrong man"), and as a result of Sarah's parents disapproving of her pregnancy, Rachel's identity as Sarah's daughter was hidden by Sarah for her entire life.

Rachel was kept on as her mother's assistant and had her own room at the school, but she was mostly hidden by Sarah and later watched as Sarah treated her students (Ainsley Whitly being one of them) like her own family. Rachel went into a rage over Sarah's affection for her students and began killing them one-by-one, with her first victims being students Allison Vinhouse and Trina Chandler. In each case, the deranged villainess drugged her victims with Rohypnol before using a de-breather to asphyxiate them to death, and would later replace their eyes with eyes from her toy dolls as she dressed them in white debutante gowns. After killing Trina and Allison, the psychotic Rachel did the same to another student, Violet Winterbottom; killing her in her home.

Allison's body was found by Gil Arroyo and Dr. Edrisa Tanaka, with Malcolm Bright joining the investigation. Upon discovering that victims attended Windsor, Malcolm went to the school and encountered Ainsley working on her story, with both of them speaking to Sarah before Malcolm encountered Rachel. In the episode's climax, Malcolm began to suspect Sarah in the killings and returned to the school knowing that his sister was there; all the wile, the evil Rachel laced Ainsley's tea with Rohypnol, as she planned to make Ainsley her next victim.

Rachel appeared just as Sarah and Ainsley were having tea together, only for Sarah to leave once Malcolm was at the door. As for Rachel, she took Ainsley to her room, where Ainsley passed out before Rachel took out the de-breather. The villainess informed her intended victim that she was saving the school and Ainsley wouldn't feel a thing, but at that moment, Malcolm appeared and confronted Rachel, which included Malcolm figuring out that Rachel was Sarah's daughter. Rachel voiced her anger over her mother hiding and ignoring her, as well as give her motherly love to her students, who she accused of disgracing the school.

All the while, Ainsley (who was revealed to have faked being drugged) arose with a knife in her hand and was set on attacking and killing Rachel. Malcolm called out to his sister to stop her, after which both siblings ended up knocking out Rachel before they escaped the house. Rachel ended up killed when the house suddenly exploded, as Sarah had turned on the gas and lit a match as part of a murder-suicide.
