Evil witch Poxilda

Evil witch Poxilda

Poxilda (Helena Carroll; 1928-2013) was a villainess from Part 1 of Married...With Children's three-part sixth season finale, "England Show" (airdate May 3, 1992).

Part 1 began with a flashback to 1653, where Seamus MacBundy (Al Bundy's ancestor) worked as a blacksmith in the English town of Lower Uncton. Seamus is visited by Poxilda, who demanded to know when her horse would be shoed, only for Seamus to make various insulting remarks about her weight. Poxilda warned Seamus that she was an evil and powerful witch, and could use her powers against him if she was continuously insulted, but when Seamus bashed her again, the villainess decided to place a curse not only on him, but the town of Lower Uncton as well.

As part of her curse, Poxilda stated that Seamus' male descendants would forever work as shoe salesmen and only serve overweight women, while Lower Uncton would be shrouded in eternal darkness to ensure that the Bundy name would be hated in the town. Seamus responded with a comment that Poxilda would float up and literally block the sun with her girth as part of her curse, and in response, the evil Poxilda added another tidbit of the curse:  eternal terrible foot odor befalling all male Bundys. Seamus mocked Poxilda's curse, but suddenly noticed the town getting dark, after which Poxilda cackled in wicked delight over her curse being activated.
