Evil blackmailer Paula Preston
Paula Preston (Morgan Fairchild) was a villainess from the 1990 telefilm, Menu for Murder (airdate December 4, 1990).
Paula Preston was one of the members of a PTA group led by president Jan Mayfield, which included a group of wives befriended by Paula. After Jan suddenly died after consuming a crab sandwich that was poisoned, Paula's history with Jan ended up being revealed: her ex-husband left Paula for Jan. Later in the film, Paula suddenly collapsed and died after taking a drink, with the later revelation that the sweetener that Paula used was actually poisoned with cocaine.
The film's climax revealed that the true killer was Connie Mann, and it included a revelation that three years prior, Connie struck and killed Frank Hallard with her car while driving drunk. She had revealed her dark secret to Paula at some point, and in response, Paula turned heel by blackmailing Connie. The villainess demanded a cut of the PTA funds in exchange for her silence, and it led to Connie poisoning the sandwich in an attempt to kill Paula, only for Jan to take the sandwich instead. Connie poisoned the sweetener later in the film, resulting in Paula's death.
