The evil and vengeful Pamela Voorhees
Pamela Voorhees (Nana Visitor) was a villainess from the 2009 Friday the 13th remake. As in the original film, she was the mother of Jason Voorhees, who drowned in the lake of Camp Crystal Lake due to (in her mind) uncaring counsellors not watching him.
Also as in the original, Pamela turned heel following the incident, murdering every counsellor at the camp, regardless of whether or not they actually held any responsibility for her son’s death. Pamela carried out her vengeful quest on June 30, 1980, with the film’s opening scene seeing her corner the sole survivor on the edge of the lake. Pamela told the girl she was the last one left, boasting about having killed all her friends. Despite the girl insisting she had done nothing wrong, the evil Pamela insisted that she needed to be punished, delusionally claiming she should have been watching Jason before striking at the girl with her blade. However, the girl was able to grab a machete and use it to decapitate the maniacal villainess, with Pamela’s head landing on the lake shore, before her intended victim ran to safety. Jason, revealed to have actually survived the apparent drowning, grabbed his mother’s head and brought it with him into the woods, imagining Pamela's voice urging him to carry on her murderous mission of killing anyone who camped at Crystal Lake.
