PalomaReynosa

Paloma Reynosa is the main villainess from a three-part episode NCIS. She possesses a vendetta against NCIS agent Leroy Gibbs for killing her father.

Backstory & Introduction[]

She is the oldest child of Pedro Hernandez, having a younger brother Alejandro Rivera. Like her brother, she was close to her father and she was devastated by his death, taking to wearing the bullet that killed him as part of her necklace. Paloma turned her father's drug ring into the Reynosa cartel, becoming its leader and being known for her ruthless but tactical mindset in Mexico.

She is first introduced discovering Abby Scuito and her class of aspiring forensic students when they arrived in Mexico. She tells them that they are in her cartel's territory and makes veiled threats towards them, while ignoring the fact that Special Agent McGee was present. Her interest is peaked when Abby explains she is trying to solve the murder of Pedro Hernandez, who unknown to the students was Paloma's father and she supplies Abby with the bullet.

When Gibbs was in Mexico, she received word and had him captured. Paloma confronted Gibbs on the murder of Hernandez, before revealing that he is her father and she wanted him to work for her as punishment, while threatening to kill everyone close to him: such as his father Jackson, his mother-in-law, and friends. However, Gibbs was unfazed and refused to cooperate with her demands. It also revealed to Gibbs that Alejandro was in fact her brother, and both wanted revenged though Gibbs openly told them that he killed their father and had no remorse in killing the man who took his family from him.

Soon Gibbs escaped Paloma's grasp and reunited with his team. However, Paloma decided to put her plan of revenge into action by traveling to Gibbs' hometown and entering his father Jackson Gibbs' shop.

Paloma arrived in the shop, with the intent to kill Jackson to balance the scale between her and Gibbs. She made sure the shop was empty and put the close sign out to be alone with Jackson. Paloma hid her gun and subtly threatened the elder Gibbs, but she was surprised when Jackson pulled out his Winchester Rifle and made it clear that he was aware of her identity. Realizing Gibbs warned him, Paloma remarked that Jackson is like his son, but he corrected her by stating his son was like him and fired a warning shot above her and she left. However, she ordered her men to open fire on the store but was surprised Jackson had already escaped while she was leaving and ordered him to be found.

For the next few months, she continued her hunt in America for Gibbs and his father who went into hiding in Washington with a security detail. Gibbs was also aided by his friend Mike Franks.

Climax and Death[]

After a long search, she was lured to a safehouse, where she believed Gibbs and his father were hiding. As she entered, her brother who was deceived into thinking she was dead opened fire on the house, though was soon detained by the gathered NCIS agents. Gibbs and his father arrived on the scene, as Alejandro questioned who was in the house before being shown that he actually hit his own sister, who was left critically wounded.

An ambulance was called for the dying Paloma as her brother frantically apologized. However, she showed no ill will and shared a final moment with him and recited a poem of the spider and the fly as her last words before succumbing to her wounds.
