The evil Natalie Rose

The evil Natalie Rose

Natalie Rose (Lucy Blair) is the main villainess from "Skin Deep," the sixth episode of Dark Realm (airdate June 29, 2001).

Introduction[]

Natalie Rose was introduced as a woman who was in a mental institution being monitored by Dr. Griffith and an orderly, with Natalie suddenly biting the former's hand as she was being fed. Afterwards, Natalie is injected with sodium pentothol and asked how she ended up in this situation, with Natalie only saying that she "turned" and went "all the way." Natalie revealed that she was an office worker, though late one night, she caught her co-worker, Martina Landers, engaged in a tryst with their supervisor, Dale Barrows.

Later that same evening, Natalie was suddenly attacked by a tiger, and in the following morning, she discovered a tiger's head tattoo appearing on her body, and also removed her glasses, which she suddenly didn't need anymore. During an encounter with Dale, Natalie was informed that he was in possession of a project that Martina was working on, only for Natalie to take the project for herself and threaten to expose Dale's affair with Martina if he didn't comply with her. The tiger was shot and killed during an office meeting, which saw Natalie suddenly feel strange and notice that her tattoo was growing.

A visit to a tattoo parlor saw Natalie thrown out by the tattoo artist upon seeing the tiger tattoo, however, Natalie was informed by the artist that the tattoo is connected to a biker cult who worshipped the tiger and believed that a tiger's bite would pass on the tiger's powers, with Natalie being warned to control her temper or face becoming a tiger for good. Meanwhile, Natalie became flirtatious with Atwater, who was Dale's superior, and engaged in a tryst with Atwater shortly afterwards. Later on, Natalie returned to the parlor and voiced her suspicions that Martina was part of the biker cult and attacked her that evening (an earlier scene did confirm that Martina was the tiger who was shot to death), which was followed by Natalie and the artist destroying the warehouse that served as the cult's headquarters.

Heel Turn[]

On the following day, Natalie was scolded by Atwater to keep their tryst a secret. However, Natalie suddenly responded by threatening to file a sexual harassment suit against him, with Atwater calling Natalie's bluff. Later, Natalie listened in on Dale's conversation with Paula (Natalie's co-worker and best friend), which centered on Natalie's blackmail and included Dale voicing his plan to fire Natalie, while also learning from Paula that Natalie told her about Dale and Martina's affair. Natalie continued turning heel when she suddenly started showing sharp fangs and began transforming into a tiger, all the while, Dale was looking for Natalie, who suddenly appeared and flashed yellow eyes as she stalked Dale and glared at him. Natalie later shifted into a tiger and killed Dale inside the copy room, and afterwards, Natalie embraced her heel turn by snarling and flashing her fangs.

Dale's body was found on the following day, and afterwards, Natalie was interrogated about Dale and Martina, and later gave a veiled warning to Paula, who had suspected that Natalie had something to do with Dale's death. The villainess listened in on Paula's interview with the detective, which saw Paula state that Natalie was at the building on the night in question, and that Dale was planning to fire her. Natalie's heel persona began to resurface, as she snarled after hearing Paula's statements before rushing to the restroom to calm herself down. After Natalie was being grilled by the detective, Paula had discovered Natalie's dress from Dale's murder covered in blood, and at that moment, the evil Natalie shifted into her tiger form and went after Paula, only to be shot with a tranquilizer dart, which resulted in Natalie's placement in the institution. The maniacal villainess passed out after telling her story, with the episode ending with the revelation that Natalie had passed her affliction to Dr. Griffith.
