Mrs. Darte is an unseen villainess from the 2024 Lifetime film, The Past Comes Knocking (released on Lifetime Movie Club on March 1, 2024 and aired on LMN on September 5, 2024).
Mrs. Darte is the wife of District Attorney Vincent Darte, and she is the mother of their only daughter, Angel Darte (the film's main villainess). However, Vincent had been using his position for corrupt methods, and he ended up arrested and indicted for his crimes. Susan Shaw, the film's main protagonist, played a role in Vincent's indictment, and as Susan revealed to her love interest, Thomas, Vincent committed suicide following his downfall.
As Susan also revealed, Mrs. Darte turned heel following her husband's suicide, as she had attempted to kill Angel, who was 10 years of age at the time. The maniacal villainess' murderous method was never revealed, and following her attempt, the evil Mrs. Darte ended up in a psychiatric ward. When it came to a series of murders that were committed in the film's events, Mrs. Darte was mentioned as a possible suspect, with Susan confirming that the madwoman remained in a psychiatric ward, with the climax revealing that Angel was behind the killings in the events.
