Molly The Moll

Greedy villainess Molly the Moll

Molly the Moll (Tress MacNeille) is the villainess of "Babysitter From Beyond", episode 1.06 of A Pup Named Scooby-Doo (airdate October 15, 1988). She was the ex-girlfriend of convicted criminal Manny the Mauler, who escaped from prison during the episode.

Prior to Manny's arrest, he and Molly buried their loot in the garden of a house belonging to an unnamed woman. Upon learning of Manny's escape, the evil Molly decided to steal the money before he had a chance to reclaim it. To do so, Molly disguised herself as Boogedy Bones, a monster from a horror film premiering that night, in order to scare the homeowner away so that she could dig up the loot.

However, the Scooby gang arrived at the house in order to drop Shaggy's sister Sugie off to be babysat by the homeowner. Molly and Manny then both arrived at the house to search for the money, and to make matters worse, the kids came to believe that the homeowner was actually Molly herself. Molly dug up the garden while in her disguise in order to find the money.

Eventually, after several encounters with all three adults, the Scooby gang set up a trap for the criminals. The ploy worked, trapping Manny and Molly in a massive ball of yarn. After the police arrived, Molly was unmasked by Velma Dinkley, who explained her villainous scheme. After Manny blasted her as a "double-crossing thief", the villainess remarked that he "said the sweetest things". Following the capture, Molly and Manny were both arrested.
