Miriam is the main villainess from a short story released by MacText Air on September 28, 2022. She is the mother of Trevor and the paternal grandmother of Emma.
The story revealed that her 5-year-old granddaughter was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (which is a form of autism), and in addition, Trevor (Emma's father) revealed that Miriam had pushed him and his wife to get Emma checked out.
After the diagnosis, Emma's parents vowed to raise and love their daughter, but when Miriam heard the news, she asked her unnamed daughter-in-law if Asperger's was a disease. When she realized it wasn't, the old woman vented over her first granddaughter being "defective," and question her daughter-in-law for accepting her, only for Emma's mother to voice her shock over her mother-in-law's callous words.
Miriam stated that she wanted to think things over in regards to Emma; however, weeks later, the villainess turned heel by intentionally running over the little girl with her car, doing so after inviting her son's family over under the claim of apologizing. Emma was hospitalized, and during the conversation, Miriam claimed that it was an accident and felt guilty, but after learning that his daughter was behind her grandmother's car, Trevor revealed that his mother had a rear view camera installed and had checked it diligently, beginning the revelation that Miriam had intentionally run down her granddaughter in and attempt to kill her.
The villainess was confronted by her daughter-in-law, and denied everything while repeating that Emma was in her blind spot. She added that she forgot to check the monitor and continued to feign guilt, but when Emma's mother mentioned the car's backup radar sensor, and added that Miriam ignored it during her villainous attempt, the latter confessed to attempting to kill the little girl. The callous villainess repeated her refusal to accept Emma, claiming that she was "too weird" and "gave her the creeps" and in addition, the evil Miriam blamed her daughter-in-law for giving birth to an "abnormal" daughter, and lashed out at Emma for acting too mature for her age and not having friends. Miriam even went as far as to state that she would rather have no granddaughter than having one like Emma, and pleaded with her daughter-in-law to give her a break, only for Emma's mother to inform the villainess that she would cut ties wit her.
Miriam accused her daughter-in-law of being disrespectful and rude, only for Emma's mother to call her out for looking down on others who are different from her. The deranged villainess responded by revealing her plans to tell Trevor to file for divorce, only for Emma's mother to reveal that her husband plans to sue his evil mother and cut all ties with her, with Miriam expressing shock over the news. As the closing narration stated, Emma's parents won their lawsuit against Miriam, who had to sell her house to pay the settlement, and afterwards, the villainess continued to defend her evil actions and lash out at Trevor for "betraying" her.
