Villainous teacher Mia Ferrara
Mia Ferrara was a villainess from "The Teacher in the Books," episode 10.12 of Bones (airdate April 2, 2015).
Mia Ferrara was the episode's murder victim, as her body was found in an abandoned bookstore in the episode's opening. She worked as a teacher of at-risk youth through the United Teaching Fellows program, and she was described as being well-liked by her peers and students. One student who Mia worked with the most was Marcellus Miller, who had been living on his own with his older brother, Keith Miller.
Keith became a suspect after it was uncovered that Mia had cuts on her hand, while the knife that matched the type that would cause the injuries was owned by Keith. Seeley Booth and Caroline Julian confirmed to Keith during the interrogation that Mia's blood was found on his knife, though not only did Keith deny killing Mia, he stated that Mia had cut herself with the knife.
As Keith revealed, Mia went to his home a month prior to the episode's events regarding Marcellus, as he had been skipping school. Marcellus skipped school so he could work to help Keith, despite Keith being willing to help his little brother out. Even after Marcellus told Mia the truth, Mia accused Keith of forcing his brother to skip school, and afterwards, Mia turned heel by verbally blackmailing Keith into telling him to return to school. The evil Mia did so by grabbing Keith's knife by the blade and cutting herself, while threatening to tell everyone that Keith attacked her if he didn't comply.
Marcellus returned to school and didn't miss a day since Mia's villainous blackmail, though Keith remained a suspect. As it turned out, Mia was killed by fellow teacher Shane Gentry, as Mia caught Shane changing test answers in an attempt to look good for a job interview with the Department of Education. Mia's attempt to get the tests back from Shane resulted in Shane strangling Mia to death to silence her.
