The evil and ambitious Marjora
Marjora (Julie Kavner) is the villainess of "I, Carumbus", episode 32.2 of The Simpsons (airdate October 4, 2020). The episode began with the Simpson family arriving at a museum where a curator told them the story of a Roman family.
The story began with Obeseus being sold into slavery where he was made to fight in the gladiator ring. Marjora, the daughter of the slavemaster, made her first appearance there, immediately striking up a romance with Obeseus. Their tryst ultimately results in Majora's pregnancy, allowing Obeseus to leave the arena to live with her. The couple eventually had the twins Bartigula and Lisandra with Obeseus becoming the head of a laundry business.
Some years later, Marjora grew frustrated with Obeseus' lack of ambition, urging him to get his act together. After Obeseus did so, allowing the family to become wealthy nobles, Marjora encouraged her husband to run for Senate in order to further raise their family's status. After reluctantly assassinating Emperor Quimbus, Obeseus is made part of the Senate by the new emperor (Mr. Burns) who ordered the murder. However, not even this satisfied Marjora who began urging Obeseus to kill the new emperor too. When he refused, Majrora blasted him, cryptically saying "that power comes to those who take it".
At a chariot race, both the emperor and his taste-tester are killed by poisoned wine, with the evil Marjora revealing herself as the mastermind behind the scheme, mocking Obeseus when he expressed shock. Marjora then nominated Bartigula as the new emperor, which was met with rousing approval. The idiotic Bartigula's reign proved disastrous for the empire with his mother in attendance when he proclaimed himself the new god of the Roman people. After Obeseus was sentenced to death for speaking out against his son, he engaged Bartigula in a fight that resulted in both being mortally wounded, horrifying Marjora. The villainess expressed grief over the death of her family, and drank poison out of despair. When Lisandra attempted to point out that she was still alive, Marjora callously remarked that they "never clicked" before succumbing to the poison and dying.
