The evil Marisa Dixon
Marisa Dixon (Adrianne Palicki) is the main villainess from "Dead on Arrival," episode 7.22 of CSI: Miami (airdate April 27, 2009). She is one of the many contestants on the reality show, The Marrying Kind.
On the show, Marisa was one of several women vying for the affections of suitor Neil Palmer, but during the contestant introductions, Marisa slipped Neil a note telling him to meet her privately. After Neil arrived, Marisa proposed a deal with him: pick her at the season's end and she'll only take 1/4 of the $1,000,000 that he would split with the winner, then they could get an amicable divorce and go their separate ways. Neil agreed to collude with Marisa to throw the show, which would result in an acting career for Marisa. However, Neil developed feelings for another contestant, Grace Carlson, so much so that he eliminated Marisa from the competition. This put a kibosh on Marisa's plan, and when she figured out that Grace had captured Neil's heart, Marisa planned to unleash her revenge on Grace.
The finale ended with Neil choosing Grace over fellow contestant Kaitlyn Sawyer, and while Grace was inside a limo giving an interview, the evil Marisa placed a signal jammer under the car to cut out the video. The villainess entered the limo and stabbed Grace to death, using a bottle stopper as her weapon of choice. After the murder, Marisa made attempts to pin Grace's murder on Kaitlyn, portraying Kaitlyn as a bitter and jealous runner-up. However, a neurotoxin found in snake venom revealed Marisa as the killer, as it was on the weapon and she had been using the substance in a recent spa treatment.
Calleigh Duquesne and Natalia Boa Vista interrogated Marisa following the reveal, with Marisa attempting to deny the claims. Once she was told about the venom, and knowing that it would be on her during a test, Marisa confessed to her and Neil's scheme as well as to killing Grace. Regarding a motive, Marisa stated that Neil took something from her when he fell in love with Grace, so she killed Grace to take something from him, and that she attempted to pin it on Kaitlyn because she looked like a murderer. Marisa was later handcuffed and arrested, flashing an evil smirk as she was taken into custody.
