The evil Lucinda Cavender
Lucinda Cavender (Jonelle Allen) was the main villainess from the 1985 telefilm, The Midnight Hour (airdate November 1, 1985).
Lucinda Cavender was an evil vampire witch and the ancestor of Melissa Cavender, with her backstory revealing that among other things, she had previously placed a curse on the town and caused all sorts of havoc before being put to death centuries ago. In the film's events, Lucinda returned along with a bevy of zombies and other monsters after Melissa read a scroll that contained Lucinda's curse, doing so while not expecting the effects of the incantation. She later appears at Melissa's costume party and meets her descendant, gushing over Melissa's costume while doing so.
All the while, Melissa was unaware that she was conversing with her ancestor, as well as Lucinda beginning her heel turn and slowly making her attempt to attack Melissa, only for the appearance of Mary Masterson (one of Melissa's friends) to inadvertently prevent Lucinda from attacking Melissa. Later on, Lucinda approached Melissa and offered to help her pick out a bottle of wine, with Lucinda emphatically voicing her preference for red wine. Lucinda turned heel afterwards by unleashing her vampire fangs and attacking Melissa, turning her descendant into an evil vampiress herself. Afterwards, the evil Lucinda enacted her plan to turn the entire party into monsters, with Melissa being a cohort in her plans.
The film's climax, saw Lucinda and Melissa with their monstrous cohorts as Phil and Sandy Matthews (the latter being a ghost who also resurfaced due to Melissa reading the curse) returned to the house. Afterwards, Lucinda led her legion of monsters in going after Phil and Sandy as they attempted to seal the scroll, with the pair being successful in their attempt. As result, everything was undone, and Lucinda was back in her grave.
