Linda is the main villainess from a short story released by Apple Texts on November 14, 2021.
Linda is the wife of Joseph; however, the story began with Linda berating her sister-in-law, Helen, as she accused Helen of having an affair with Joseph. Helen was married to Joseph's brother, Andrew, and denied the claims, only for Linda to mention a photo of Helen with Joseph at a subway station. Helen explained that she was leaving her doctor's appointment and ran into Joseph, who was working, but Linda refused to believe Helen's side of the story and referred to her sister-in-law as a "slut" before threatening to take money from Helen for her actions.
Helen informed Andrew about Linda's claims, with Andrew taking his wife's side and adding that he suspected that Linda was mentally unstable. On the following day, Linda appeared at Helen's apartment to confront her, but Helen was at her parents' house. The deranged Linda continued her accusations and threats in her conversation with Helen, and months later, Linda contacted Helen to congratulate her on having a baby, only to reveal that she was faking and adding that the baby would prove her claims--due to the fact that Andrew was sterile.
At that moment, Andrew took over the chat and revealed the truth to Linda: he wasn't sterile, Linda was infertile, and it was his seed used for the procedure. He also shot down Linda's "evidence," as it only showed that Helen and Joseph were chatting and there was evidence of their stories being factual, but Linda remained insistent that they were having an affair. Andrew revealed to Linda that her deception placed a toll on Joseph, as she constantly berated him over the "affair," and also added that Joseph left Linda and moved out of the house two days prior. After Linda realized Andrew was right, she was on the receiving end of another revelation: Joseph wasn't cheating, Linda was.
Andrew revealed that Joseph hired a private detective to look into Linda after her false claims, and it resulted in a mountain of evidence of Linda's affair. As Andrew also stated, Linda turned heel afterwards by colluding with her lover in a scheme to portray Joseph as the adulterer, with the villainess planning to blackmail Joseph into giving her more money in the divorce settlement. Linda denied everything at first, but after being hit with the evidence, as well as Andrew's statement that he had sent their chat to Linda's parents, the villainess panicked as her parents were calling her. As the closing narration revealed, the evil Linda ended up with nothing in the divorce, and her illicit relationship ended after they failed in their scheme.
