Alexis "Lexi" Cooper (Avery Kristen Pohl) is the main villainess from the 2020 Lifetime film, My Daughter's Psycho Friend (airdate March 20, 2020).
Introduction[]
Lexi Cooper is the "queen bee" of her high school, and the episode's opening established Lexi as a callous prankster, as she and her friend Kaitlyn "swatted" their neighbors--calling the police with a phony distress call. Once main protagonist Sierra Reynolds moved to Calabasas, California from Aurora, Colorado, Lexi and Kaitlyn introduced themselves, with the former doing so as Alexis--adding that Sierra had to earn the right to call her Lexi. Lexi stated to Sierra that she had to earn her trust, while revealing that bad things have happened to people who have crossed her (in her mind).
Events[]
On the following evening, Lexi invited Sierra to a party at her home, after which she pointed out the different cliques that attended. The last student identified was Jake, who walked up to Kaitlyn and asked her out, after which Lexi decided to lace Jake's drink with GHB. Jake later felt the effects and fell into the pool, where he later drowned, with his death originally labeled as an accident. Sierra was one of many who were interviewed by police, and her responses resulted in an autopsy performed on Jake, which later revealed that GHB was in his system. All the while, Lexi lashed out at Sierra for speaking to police, only for Lance to arrive and call out Lexi for being insecure, which angered Lexi.
Lexi was one of many students interviewed by police after the report came out, with her mother, Jackie Cooper, present and lambasting her daughter, with her anger increasing after realizing that she'd be held responsible due to Lexi being under 18. Lexi was left to speak to police alone, and afterwards, Sierra confronted her after hearing Lexi mention that Jake was drugged--leading Sierra to realize that Lexi was responsible for Jake's death. Their verbal confrontation included Lexi accusing Sierra of killing Jake, with Sierra shoving Lexi in response, after which Lance came to Sierra's aid.
Lexi decided to set up Sierra, first by learning her locker combination, and later planting a bottle of GHB inside her locker. Once Ms. Wilkins (the school's principal) received an anonymous tip (Lexi), she met with Sierra and her parents, Jeremy and Melissa Reynolds, and presented the GHB from Sierra's locker. Sierra denied ever owning the bottle and accused Lexi of setting her up, but without evidence, Sierra ended up suspended pending the results of the investigation.
Climax & Arrest[]
After Sierra confronted Kaitlyn, Lexi appeared and reminded her friend that Sierra killed Jake, with Kaitlyn disbelieving her deranged friend's statements. Kaitlyn suggested a meeting between the three of them to talk things out, with Lexi agreeing before Kaitlyn phoned Sierra. The three of them met near a lake, with Lexi stating that all three of them would go to jail for Jake's death, claiming that Sierra knew what Lexi was doing (which wasn't true) and that she and Kaitlyn could have stopped her but didn't. During their conversation, Lexi and Kaitlyn noticed that Sierra had been recording them, after which a furious Lexi grabbed a bat from her car and struck her head. The blow didn't kill Sierra, but even after learning that she was alive, the evil Lexi ordered Kaitlyn to help place Sierra back in her car, with Lexi planning to kill Sierra and stage her death as a suicide.
Lexi's plan included forcing alcohol in her system and pushing her car down the lake, though unbeknownst to both of them, Sierra survived, as the car didn't sink. Lexi was shown in her house in an argument with Jackie, who voiced her exasperation with constantly bailing out her daughter and ordered her to move out of the house immediately. In response, Lexi lashed out at Jackie, stating that she had been taking care of her mother since the divorce, which occurred when Lexi was 10. Jackie repeated her order for Lexi to move out, with Lexi appearing to agree before shoving her mother over the railing, killing Jackie instantly. The maniacal villainess even threatened Kaitlyn after she learned from her friend that Sierra survived, as Kaitlyn stated that her father worked at the hospital and that she would go to the police.
Lexi's attempt to kill Kaitlyn was thwarted by the football team, but the film's climax saw the villainess send the police (who were protecting Sierra) away so she could enter the Reynolds house, doing so while carrying a gun. The villainess called out for Sierra, prompting Jeremy to appear and inform her that Sierra wasn't coming out. Sierra snuck out of her room and hid out, though Lexi caught Sierra and fired a shot at Jeremy, and screamed in anger over not being able to find Sierra. Attempting to find Sierra, Lexi went up to a bedroom upstairs, believing Sierra had escaped through there, and shouted that she will find Sierra, failing to realize that Lexi had actually walked into a trap. Sierra suddenly appeared behind Lexi and shoved a shocked Lexi through the window, with Lexi surviving and ultimately being arrested. The final scene showed Lexi entering the prison, with the other inmates preparing to "initiate" her; just as Lexi did to Sierra.
