Lena and Ruthie are two villainesses from "Halloween Dinner", a short story released by IMR Scary Tales (release date October 11th, 2023). The story took place at a farmhouse where a large family were gathering together to celebrate Halloween. The two women were established as sisters and the respective mothers of two pre-teen cousins: Noah (11 years old) and Billy (13 years old).
The story began with Lena calling her mother with her phone while placing some shirts in a closet, telling ber that she just arrived and promising her that dinner will be ready before her arrival. After hearing a noise, the woman look out the window and start to scolding her son and nephew for smashing pumpkins in the yard, with Billy saying that his mother give them the permission for doing it (with his aunt being disappointed).
After playing in the yard, the two cousins went with Paul (the house's groundskeeper) to assemble a scarecrow in the nearby cemetery. As the the boy and the child left, the man lingered to talk with the scarecrow (calling it "good girl" and kissing its cheek). Back at the house, the red-dressed woman flirted with her husband Ralph (Noah's father) who had arrived alongside his brother-in-law Chad (the two sisters' brother and the two cousins' maternal uncle). The adults watched a news broadcast about a woman kidnapped from the highway before the family matriarch arrived, with Ruthie asking her brother-in-law to bring in the luggage while she called down her son and nephew to greet their maternal grandmother.
With everyone present, the family settled down for a delicious ham roast dinner prepared by Paul (whose culinary skills were marvelled over by the green-dressed woman). That night, Noah was woken up by his bladder and went to the bathroom. As he left, he heard his mother and aunt speaking in the kitchen in instructing the groundskeeper to "bring the rest of her" inside. This served as the two sisters' villainous reveal (with bloodshot eyes), with the man placing a bag containing the dismembered body parts of the woman who was reported missing.
The evil Lena expressed relief that the victim had been held captive in the tool shed and was not seen by the boy and the child (whom she deemed too young to learn about the family's true nature). The equally psychotic Ruthie countered her, stating how the the two cousins had loved to eating the woman's meat, establishing the adults of the family as cannibals, with the green-dressed woman going on to claim that the taste of human flesh was so addictive that Noah and Billy would soon be just like them. As Paul began to slice the victim into pieces, the two sisters' subsequent conversation made it clear that they only abducted and murdered their victims during October and that Chad and Ralph (as well as the matriarch and Ruthie's unseen husband) were also in the conspiracy (with the two high school friends using victims' fingers to go fishing). The story ended with the groundskeeper revealing that he had placed the victim's head in the scarecrow with the two cannibal women calling him the "sweetest" and thanking him for all his help (leaving the child with the hat horrified and traumatized after learning the truth behind his family).
