The evil Laurel Hedare
Laurel Hedare (Sharon Stone) was the main villainess from the 2004 film, Catwoman.
Events[]
Laurel Hedare is one of the CEOs of Hedare Cosmetics, along with her husband, George Hedare. She spent years as the company's main model, but was being replaced with a younger model, Drina (George's mistress), in the film's events. The film's introduction saw the couple promote Beau-line, a new beauty cream; however, it was later revealed that the cream had toxic chemicals, which caused its users to become ill and experience facial disfigurement.
It was also revealed that Laurel had known about the side effects and planned to cover it up and sell the cream, with the reveal coming as she received the results from chemist Ivan Slavicky. The scene saw Patience Phillips enter and overhear the revelation about Beau-line, leading to Laurel sending her henchmen, Armando and Wesley, to kill Patience, which was believed to be done when the former turned on the storm drain and sent Patience to her death in the ocean--only for Patience to be resurrected with feline abilities and become Catwoman.
All the while, the evil Laurel continued her cover-up by having Slavicky killed, a murder that ended up being pinned on Catwoman during her quest to find out the truth about Beau-line. Laurel ended up confronted by Catwoman at her home, and it was during this moment that the villainess sent her towards George, painting him as the actual killer and mastermind. Catwoman ended up attacking George while he and Drina were at the opera together, with George denying the accusations against him, after which he confronted Laurel on the following day about his encounter with Catwoman.
Climax and Death[]
In the film's climax, Laurel lured Catwoman to her home regarding infomation on her husband, while venting over being the face of her company for so long until she was "pushed aside" once she turned 40. After Catwoman saw George laying dead, Laurel admitted to shooting her husband to death, as well as having Slavicky killed, stating that both of them were in the way of her goals--while George's affair was a motive regarding the former. The villainess later tossed the gun to Catwoman in a plan to frame her, and later called the police and feigned shock and sorrow as she painted Catwoman as George's killer.
Later on, Laurel promoted Beau-line before she was interrogated in her office by detective Tom Lone, who confronted the villainess with the evidence against her. Laurel unleashed her gun and shot Lone (non-fatally), only for Catwoman to disarm her with her whip, leading to a battle between both women. The battle was one-sided, Laurel was unable to feel any pain; boasting that her continued use of Beau-line made her skin hard as marble, and that the continued use covers up the horrific scarring. Laurel stated that she would kill Lone and Catwoman, while setting up the latter as a "cop killer," only for Catwoman to bounce back and send Laurel crashing through the glass, and hanging on a beam. The villainess expressed horror over seeing her scratched face, while Catwoman attempted to save Laurel, only for Laurel's hands to slip and send her falling several stories to her death, on the Hedare logo.
