Krystal's evil and unnamed mother
Krystal's unnamed mother is the main villainess from I Had to Choose, a short story released by Dear Diary (release date February 26, 2020).
As Krystal stated in her narration, her mother was introduced as being widowed, because her husband (Krystal's father) passed away when Krystal was a child.
At some point, Krystal's mother had many boyfriends, who Krystal described as rich and sleazy businessmen. Krystal's mother had dreams of becoming a ballerina, but they came to an end when she became pregnant and got her daughter into ballet herself.
However, Krystal's mother became obsessed with her daughter succeeding in ballet, beginning with vastly cutting her daughter's diet when one of her boyfriends noticed how thick she was becoming. She also ordered Krystal to continue practicing for a big audition and during a rehersal, the protagonist tore her hip. In response to her daughter's pain, her callous mother forced her to stay in the theater alone and practice, with the girl being left in tears and popping pain pills. Krystal was later approached by a man named Porter, who fed her and gave her a blanket so she could sleep well.
When Krystal woke up, she saw her mother standing over her, ordering her to dance under the threat that she would live in the theater if she didn't. Krystal's performance ended with her falling and developing a limp, and in response to her daughter's dreams coming to an end, her evil mother ignored her and focused on her boyfriends. Krystal looked for Porter so he could comfort her, but he was nowhere to be found. While at a biker bar, Krystal heard a pair of bikers talking about getting Porter out, revealing that he was in jail for dealing drugs. The two caught Krystal eavesdropping, but smiled after the latter mentioned Porter, as they figured out she was the girl that the man mentioned.
Krystal ended up sending letters to Porter, and eventually visited him in prison, where Porter proposed to her. When Krystal's mother found out, she unleashed her fury and threatened to kick her out of the house if she visited the prison again. Krystal returned and visited Porter, and saw a man approaching her, with Krystal being shocked to learn that the man was actually her father. As it turned out, Krystal's father had actually been in prison (his crime was never revealed) and afterwards, Krystal's mother coldly informed her daughter that he passed away, keeping her from ever seeing her father again. The villainess was spotted outside by Krystal, after which she lashed out at her daughter for seeing her imprisoned father, and adding that she didn't "want this life for her." Krystal married Porter and moved out of her mother's house, leaving the villainous mother's fate unknown.
