The evil and abusive Julie Hunt
Julie Hunt (Maria Figgins) was the main villainess from the 2016 film, My Guardian Angel.
Backstory and Events[]
Julie and her unnamed husband were introduced as a couple of dentists who are the parents of twin daughters, Hannah and Angel. However, the beginning of the movie revealed that the couple were immensely cruel and abusive towards their daughters. Their preferred method was to tie up and gag their daughters with duct tape and leave them in an old shed at the back of their garden. Another method was to use their dental skills if they caught the girls eating sweets or candies.
Angel committed suicide by hanging herself in the attic prior to the movie's events, leaving Hannah as the only source of outlet for her abusive and sadistic parents. Since Hannah was autistic, she was unable to defend herself and didn't speak. She also kept a photo of her late sister with her in Angel's memory, which Julie would scold her for (unaware that her late daughter's presence hated her and wanted to kill her and her husband).
In public, Julie presented herself as a sweet and caring mother, especially when she accompanied Hannah to her new school at the beginning of the movie. In private, the evil Julie would threaten to kill Hannah if her daughter dared to tell anyone about her abuse. Julie also fabricated the story that Hannah's move stemmed from her being bullied at her previous school and because her twin sister had committed suicide; consequently, the couple appeared as grieving parents following that family tragedy.
Climax and Death[]
Although Hannah's teacher, Miss Palmer, was deceived, her colleague Elena (Hannah's special education teacher) suspected that Hannah was a victim of abuse (mainly because Elena herself was a former victim). Hannah attempted to kill her parents with two Voodoo dolls as ordered to by Angel's spirit. However, the little girl was caught by her parents, with Julie furious that the doll looked like her and causing her to unload her anger onto her daughter.
As a punishment, the two sadistic parents bound and gagged Hannah with duct tape and left her inside the shed. Hannah's anger grew even more after Angel revealed that their father had sexually abused her. At that moment, Angel took possession of her sister's body to make her commit the murders. Meanwhile, Julie and her husband received a call from Miss Palmer, who informed them that Hannah had spoken, leaving both parents alarmed and wanting to kill their daughter to keep her quiet.
After entering Hannah's room, Julie's husband opened the closet, only to find Hannah possessed by a bloodthirsty Angel who slit his throat, killing him instantly. Julie watched in shock and horror as her husband died and fled to the kitchen to defend herself. At that moment, Elena entered the house to help Hannah but was accidentally killed by Julie, who slit her throat because she had mistaken her for Angel. Julie looked at Angel's body, regretting of what she had done, and is eventually killed by Angel (who slit her throat as well). The movie's epilogue revealed that Hannah was placed in an orphanage and became much happier.
