Joanna Worth (Elizabeth Marvel) is the hidden main villainess from the 2025 film, G20.
Backstory and Introduction[]
Joanna Worth is the Treasury Secretary to U.S. President Danielle Sutton, with their shared backstory revealing that despite their longtime friendship, the two women were actually opponents in the presidential election, which Danielle won. Following Danielle's victory, Joanna was chosen by Danielle for the current position, and she was first shown chatting with Danielle regarding Serena Sutton (Danielle's daughter), before discussing the upcoming G20 Summit in South Africa, where Danielle was planning to unveil a financial plan for sub-Saharan farmers.
Heel Turn[]
While chatting during the flight, Danielle and Joanna mentioned their past election, with Joanna mentioning her loss and their friendship returning, while Danielle stated that their friendship remained even when they were opponents. Unbeknownst to Danielle, Joanna had resented Danielle after losing the election, and at some point, Joanna turned heel by masterminding an attack at the G20 Summit. As part of her plot, the villainess enlisted Edward Rutledge, an Australian Special Forces soldier, and his mercenary group--Pax Security--to attack the event with the goal of using all of the world leaders attending (including Sutton) as part of the plan to force everyone to place their money in cryptocurrency, and use deepfake videos of the leaders as part of the plan.
The attack and the scheme saw Australia's Prime MInister and South Korea's President killed by Rutledge, while Joanna's heel persona remained hidden by continuing to pose as a hostage. The climax saw Danielle surrender herself to Rutledge, who threatened to kill Derek Sutton (Danielle's husband), and allow herself to be deepfake, only to later fight with Rutledge, who was later stabbed by vengeful South Korean First Lady Han Minh-Seo. During the melee, Joanna managed to grab Rutledge's crypto wallet (containing over $150 billion) and hide it, an action that was noticed by Danielle, who confronted Joanna and revealed her knowledge of Joanna being the villainous mastermind.
In response, the evil Joanna lashed out at Danielle and revealed her true bitterness over losing the election, while accusing Danielle of stealing what Joanna felt was hers. Danielle slapped Joanna and reminded her that she was elected, and one of the film's mid-credits scenes showed Joanna in prison, convicted of her villainous actions.
