The evil Jill Picone

Jill Picone (Tara Buck) is the main villainess from "Angels Sometimes Kill," episode 4.12 of Magnum P.I. (airdate January 21, 2022).

Jill Picone runs the Oahu Family Shelter, and in her introductory scene, she was approached by Thomas Magnum and Juliet Higgins regarding the whereabouts of Karl "Dart" Dartan, with Jill pointing them in the direction of Dart's tent. The episode later revealed that Dart still owned the house he shared with his wife, Lucy Dartan, and also uncovered that Dart was actually killed in an apparent hit-and-run accident, though it was later deemed a homicide.

Suspicion was directed towards Lucy's boyfriend, Martin Hadley, though he had an alibi, after which Magnum and Higgins were informed that the killer was possibly a woman. The investigation also revealed that Dart was the victim of an insurance scam, with Russell Newman as a perpetrator, only for the pair to find him dead of an apparent suicide. After detective Lia Kaleo deduced that the suicide was staged, a quick forensics check of the prints on the gun ended up revealing the true evil mastermind as none other than Jill.

As Magnum and Higgins revealed during their confrontation, Jill had been masterminding a lucrative insurance scam involving the homeless, with Newman as a co-conspirator. After Newman filed the claims, Jill killed the victims to benefit, with Dart becoming her latest victim when she ran him down in her car. Once Newman feared that he would be outed, he contacted Jill, which led to the villainess shooting her partner to death and staging his death as a suicide. Jill denied the claims against her, but once the evidence against her was revealed, the evil Jill asked for a lawyer prior to her arrest.
