Irene Sorenson was an unseen villainess mentioned in the 1998 film Mind Games (airdate April 19th, 1998).
Irene Sorenson was the wife of a deacon named Tom Sorenson and they were the parents of two daughters, Karen Sorenson (the film's main villainess) and Anna Sorenson (the film's main heroine). Karen was a therapist who had been manipulating and terrorizing her patients, with her latest victims being the spouses Berrick, Doug and Hannah, (who eventually ended up in meeting Anna and learning the Sorenson sisters' backstory).
As the younger sister revealed, her father had molested and sexually abused both her and her older sister habitually. Regarding her mother, she was revealed as being evil because she known about her husband's actions and covered for him. Both the callous Irene and the psychotic Tom were believed to have been killed in a murder-suicide committed by Mr. Sorenson. But as the woman revealed, the evil Mrs. Sorenson met her demise at the hands of a 18-year-old Karen (who fired a single shot at their callous mother before killing their psychotic father and setting him up as the murder-suicide perpetrator).
