The evil Helen Harrison
Helen Harrison (Ferne Downey) was a villainess from "A Function of Control," episode 6.08 of The Hitchhiker (airdate November 9, 1990). She was the wife of Warren Harrison.
As Warren himself recently revealed to his employees, he had taken Helen on vacation, but stated that his marriage was basically over; adding that he had made an error regarding who he wanted to be with. The episode revealed that Warren was having an affair, with his mistress being revealed as Mandi, one of his employees. Helen had her suspicions that Warren was cheating on her, and now that she was armed with that knowledge (while unaware of who Warren's lover was), Helen turned heel and planned to kill her husband and his lover.
While Laura Perry--another of Warren's employees, who once dated Warren and longed to be with him--was at Warren's house, the evil Helen entered and grabbed a gun looking to shoot Warren and his mistress. She instead caught Laura in the midst of her fantasizing about Warren, with the villainess laughing at Laura and referring to her as pathetic and reminding Laura about how she referred to Helen as a bimbo. Helen continued to mock Laura's affections for Warren and prevented Laura from leaving, leading to a struggle that ended with Laura accidentally shooting Helen to death with her own gun.
