The villainous Greta Boyen
Greta Boyen (Rebecca Staab) was the main villainess from NCIS episode 2.06, "Terminal Leave" (airdate November 16, 2004).
Backstory[]
Greta Boyen was the wife of Greg Boyen and the neighbor of Lt. Commander Micki Shields (the episode's main protagonist) and her husband, David. While Micki was away, Greta and David engaged in an illicit affair with each other, due to both feeling lonely and the former being bored in her marriage. However, David ended the affair shortly afterwards, leaving Greta heartbroken and furious.
Events[]
With Micki back home on leave, the evil Greta devised a plot to kill her--believing that Micki's death would be the only way that she and David could be together again. She built a bomb and planted it inside an unmarked car that was parked on a grocery store. Greta set off the bomb, but Micki was only injured and avoided certain death, while the explosion ended up killing the Shields' family dog, Libby.. When another bomb went off, Greta appeared to Caitlin Todd, feigning concern for Micki and asking to visit her home to see if she was OK. In the episode's final scenes, Greta appeared at the Shields home and revealed her murderous plot to David, while pleading with him to come back to her. After Micki overheard everything, Greta pulled out a gun and pointed it at Micki. Micki unleashed her own weapon and ordered Greta to drop her gun, only for both women to end up firing at each other. When Gibbs and his crew arrived back at the home, they found Greta shot dead.

- Rebecca Staab also played villainess Tina on Columbo, and later played criminal mastermind Lois Carmichael in 2021's The Santa Stakeout.
