The evil Floratta Borrin
Floratta Borrin (Kerry O'Malley) was a villainess from "Home," episode 2.03 of The Orville (airdate January 10, 2019). She was the wife of Cambis Borrin.
The Borrins lived on the planet Xelayah, the home planet of Alara Kitan, who was visitng her family. The couple lived next door to the Kitans' beach house, which was broken into--despite the island being deserted. Gattis, their caretaker, was suspected after the couple suggested that he was involved, but Drenala's (Alara's mother) call to him ended up with no response.
Later on, Cambis and Floratta appeared as dinner guests at the Kitans' home, with the couple talking about their son, Galdis, who celebrated his 30th birthday a week prior and was also a prodigy. Ildis (Alara's father) was set to serve a special sauce, but after picking up the ladle, Cambis claimed that the ladle was possibly dirty and asked Ildis if he could use an alternative, later suggesting that Ildis use his bare hand. It was laughed off as a joke until Cambis pointed a gun at Ildis and ordered him to insert his hand in the boiling sauce. Floratta also turned heel and pointed her own gun at the rest of the family, after which Ildis gave in to the demand and placed his hand in the sauce, burning his hand in the process.
Afterwards, the couple revealed the truth about Galdis: he actually committed suicide a year prior to the events. It was also revealed that while Ildis worked as a professor, he discredited Galdis research on a vaccine, and it ended up wrecking his career and led to his suicide. The couple blamed Ildis for their son's death and broke into the house planning their revenge, killing Gattis while doing so. Cambis ordered Ildis to make a statement claiming that he was wrong and Galdls was correct, but after Alara stated that they would kill him and the rest of the Kitans afterwards, the evil Floratta retrieved the family's gardening shears and threatened to cut off Solana's (Alara's older sister) finger. Ed Mercer's visit to check on Alara ended with Cambis firing a non-fatal shot at Ed, after which Alara tackled Floratta and brawled with her. The fight ended with Alara pointing Floratta's own gun at her and shooting the villainess to death.
