Vengeful murderess Emma Carlisle
Emma Carlisle (Karen Ascoe) is a villainess from 'Death In The Family', mission 2 of Hitman 3 (release date January 20, 2021) She was introduced as the wife of Gregory Carlisle, the eldest son of Madam Alexa Carlisle (the mission's assasination target), as well as the mother of Patrick Carlisle.
The mission's events saw the Carlisle family assemble at their ancestral manor to hold a fake funeral for Alexa as part of a plan to fake her death. However, the morning after their arrival saw both the arrival of Agent 47, as well as Zachary, Alexa's younger brother and the manor's owner, being discovered dead in his room, having been poisoned.
A private investigator called Phineas Whitmore arrives to investigate the killing, and if the player chooses to have 47 take his place and conduct the investigation, he will be able to piece together the truth behind the killing.
When interviewed, Emma will claim to have been feeling sick the previous night and gone to bed early. However, an interview with one of the manor's maids shows this to be a lie, as Emma was seen at the greenhouse at that time. Further clues, including Zachary's internet search history, the keychain to the greenhouse and a letter found from Emma's mother Rose reveal the truth.
Emma was in fact the illegitimate daughter of Montgomery, Alexa and Zachary's elder brother whom the two had conspired to kill decades ago in order to inherit the family wealth. Gregory's lover, Jane spent the time in between then and the mission conspiring with her daughter to kill them in return and claim the wealth for themselves.
To do so, Emma married Gregory to gain access to the family. When the family came together for the secret funeral, the evil Emma used a hidden passageway to sneak into Zachary's room to poison his whiskey. After Zachary (who unbeknownst to Emma had been wracked with guilt for his actions) had died, Emma forged a suicide note, and made plans to move onto Alexa.
Emma's fate in the mission can be determined by 47, who can even assist her in killing Alexa. However, a news report in a later mission revealed that Whitmore solved Zachary's murder himself with Emma being presumably arrested off-screen.
