Emerie is the hidden main villainess from a short story released by Ash Stories on April 14, 2023. She is a college drama teacher and the longtime best friend of literary teacher Skyler Meadows.

Emerie's introduction came after Skyler met with one of her students, Mercy Lankum, regarding one of Mercy's assignments. The duo's conversation later turned to Mercy, with Skyler admitting that she had a bit of a crush on her, but added that she needed to keep her feelings locked away, which resulted in Skyler revealing that she had once stolen Emerie's girlfriend, Amy, from her when they were college students. Emerie assured Skyler that what happened between her and Amy was a long time ago, and despite Skyler's guilt, Emerie assured Skyler that she had long forgiven her, while also advising her friend to be careful about how to handle her feelings for Mercy--especially with tenure coming up for Skyler.

Unbeknownst to Skyler, Emerie turned heel by plotting to blackmail her longtime friend and colleague, as (despite her words of support) she had maintained years of resentment towards Skyler for stealing Amy from her. The vengeful villainess enlisted Mercy as part of her plan, ordering her to enter Skyler's office and kiss her professor, while capturing the embrace on her cellphone as part of her scheme to portray Skyler as a villainous predator. Afterwards, Emerie (while disguising her voice) contacted Skyler with claims that she had information on her, and in a second conversation, the villainess informed Skyler that she had photos of her and Mercy together in an embrace. She later demanded $10,000 from Skyler, under the threat of sending the pics to the tenure board if she didn't comply.

Skyler refused and later informed Emerie about everything that happened, doing so after figuring out that Mercy was involved in the blackmail, but was afraid to reveal the mastermind's identity. Emerie acted sympathetic to cover up her true villainous demeanor, though she suggested that Skyler should pay off her blackmailer to save her career, with Skyler refusing to do so. Skyler learned the truth about Emerie via Mercy's latest short story, which was based on the blackmailing scheme, with Mercy naming the villainess of her story, "Emerald." After a meeting with Professor Jacobs ensured that Skyler would get tenure, while also stating that Mercy turned herself in, Emerie contacted Skyler again under her heel persona, only for Skyler to respond to her threats by revealing that she was on the tenure board, while also outing Emerie as the villainess.

In response, the evil Emerie dropped her disguised voice and admitted to masterminding the blackmailing scheme, claiming that Skyler deserved what she was getting, only to be informed by Skyler that her scheme failed. The maniacal villainess also informed Skyler that she lied about forgiving her for stealing Amy, and vowed to get revenge on her. The story's epilogue revealed that Emerie was terminated and arrested for extortion, and after her not guilty plea and request to represent herself was both denied, the villainess was sentenced to six years in jail and three months probation.
