Dr. Natalie Barnes (Evil Doctor)

Dr. Natalie Barnes (Dina Meyer) was the main villainess in the 2018 Lifetime film Evil Doctor (alternately titled: Snatched, airdate April 7th, 2018) .

Backstory[]

At the beginning of the film, Natalie was abducted as a newborn and was raised in a toxic household. When she was 8 years old, her father shot her mother and then himself in front of her to avoid being arrested traumatizing her for the rest of her life. Natalie was returned to her birth parents but did not have a good relationship with them. In adulthood, Natalie had a difficult time getting pregnant and at some point she and her former lover attempted to abduct a newborn but their victim was returned safely. Natalie became an OBGYN Doctor in Los Angles with hopes to one day get a baby to call hers.

Introduction/Events[]

Natalie Barnes 2 — Natalie having sex with Matt

Natalie is first introduced as Aubrey and Matt Lewis (the main protagonists) assigned OBGYN. Natalie immediately became attracted to Matt and formed a plan to switch Aubrey's sonograms and tampers with her cervix causing Aubrey to bleed while she has sex with Matt. Natalie advises Aubrey to stay on bedrest in order to have a safe pregnancy. Natalie makes a suggestive pass at Matt at the gym with Matt showing interest in her. While Aubrey is bedridden, Natalie continues to seduce Matt and eventually has sex with him. Natalie makes a nursery inside her home and places Aubrey's sonograms on the wall preparing to bring her baby home. Natalie gets into an argument with her birth mother at her apartment building with Natalie telling her mother that she hates her. Later that evening, Natalie in a hooded disguise drowns her mother in her bathtub kicking her out of her life forever. Natalie continues her adulteress affair with Matt when Aubrey's sister Janelle suspects that they are sleeping together. At Aubrey's baby shower, Janelle calls Natalie out accusing her of having an affair with Matt. But after swooning Matt's assistant Vicky, Natalie tells Janelle that she is a lesbian and denies her affair with Matt.

When Natalie goes to Matt's office, the front desk secretary tells Natalie that Matt is unavailable as he tries to avoid her. Natalie convinces Vicky to ditch work and the two women go back to Natalie's home and have sex. After having sex with Vicky, Natalie opens up about her inability to get pregnant with Vicky taking pity on her. Natalie gets angry and shows Vicky a video of Natalie and Matt having sex asking Vicky how she feels about their affair. Vicky reacts in disguist and Natalie pulls out a gun and shoots Vicky to death in her bathtub. Matt goes to Natalie's house to tell her that he is ending their affair and believes that Natalie was involved in Vicky's murder. Janelle tells Aubrey that Matt and Natalie have been having an affair behind her back. Natalie drugs Matt then locks him inside of a bedroom and goes to the hospital once she answers a call that Aubrey has gone into labor. Natalie goes to hospital and attacks Dr. Flickman with a crowbar and later attacks Janelle with the same crowbar.

Natalie Barnes 3 — Natalie with Aubrey's baby

Natalie goes into Aubrey's room, knocks out the Nurse and proceeds to deliver Aubrey's baby. After delivering Aubrey's baby girl, Natalie takes the baby and leaves the room. Natalie manages to go all the way up the roof and looks over the balcony scared to climb down. Natalie proceeds to climb down the latter until she is encountered by Matt who pleads with Natalie to give him the baby. Natalie tells Matt that he didn't deserve the baby but Matt goes along with her delusions that they can be family and he will help her raise the baby. Matt manages to get the baby away from her and the latter breaks with Natalie holding on for the sake of her life. Natalie sees an image of her father telling her that he loves her and the latter breaks causing Natalie to fall to her death, ending her devious goal to get a baby forever.
