Destiny Samuels

Psychotic murderess Destiny Samuels

Destiny Samuels (Meyon Jacobs) is the main protagonist and the hidden main villainess from the 2025 Tubi film, A Kill for a Kill (release date January 17, 2025).

Introduction[]

Destiny Samuels is a motivational speaker and an author whose backstory revealed that she was sexually assaulted at some point prior to the film's events. Her best-selling book centered on her experience, but the film showed that she was at odds with her wife, Kendall Samuels, over Kendall's plan to work with an investor group known as Leading Ladies. Later on, Destiny meets Toni, a superfan who worshipped Destiny and revealed her own story about her own abusive marriage to Marcus, and also lambasted Kendall for controlling Destiny. All the while, the arguments between Destiny and Kendall increased to the point where Kendall demanded a divorce, with Destiny learning that she wanted this divorce for a while and had it all planned, with Kendall threatening to expose Destiny as a fraud if she contested.

Shortly afterwards, Kendall falls to her death, with Kendall's death perceived as a suicide, though Destiny was under suspicion. Toni consoles Destiny before later informing Destiny that she killed Kendall because she was going to ruin her life, and she needed Destiny to kill Marcus as part of her planned arrangement. When Destiny refused, Toni threatened to inform the police and claim that Destiny killed her wife, while also claiming that she had caught Kendall with Sufe (Destiny's assistant). Destiny went to Detective Guillermo herself and informed him about Toni, only for Guillermo to end up murdered inside a hotel room.

Reveal[]

Evil Destiny

Destiny faced even more threats after Guillermo's murder, and she was given a gun to carry out Marcus' murder. After Toni sent Destiny a message that she was with Faith (Destiny's sister), Destiny rushed to a campaign rally for Faith's fiancé, James Hawthorn, to save her sister. Destiny's confrontation with Toni saw her hold Toni at gunpoint before Faith arrived, with Destiny asking about her safety and about Toni. However, Faith stated that she didn't know who Toni was, and the scene ultimately revealed that Toni was a figment of her imagination. Despite Destiny's insistence that Toni was real, a series of flashback scenes revealed the entire truth about everything.

A flashback of the assault revealed that James was the one who sexually assaulted Destiny, who didn't fight back because she couldn't do so. Kendall had known that she didn't fight back during her assault, and mentioned it during her aforementioned threat regarding the divorce. Following Kendall's threat, Destiny turned heel by shoving Kendall over the ledge and to her death, while "Toni" was created prior to the murder and served as a representation of Destiny's villainous demeanor. The maniacal villainess also strangled Guillermo to death in what was revealed to be her own hotel room, using a scarf as a murder weapon and committing to murder due to Guillermo coming close to the truth. After realizing that James was her attacker, Destiny interrupted the rally and shot James to death, and she was later handcuffed and arrested for all three murders. The final scenes showed Destiny in a psychiatric hospital, where she was visited by Faith, and the film ended with Destiny continuing to bond with "Toni."
