The evil Clara Bolton
Clara Bolton (Rebeka Montoya) is the main villainess from "Remember Me Tomorrow," episode 4.17 of Magnum P.I. (airdate April 1, 2022). She was one of the neighbors of the Akamu family, who were murdered in an apparent robbery in 2017.
The case was investigated by detective Phoebe Vaughn, who passed away shortly prior to the episode's events, leading to Ella Vaughn (Phoebe's only daughter with husband Cole Vaughn) attempting to solve her mother's case. Ella approached Juliett Higgins for help, and during their investigation, one of the neighbors they spoke to was Clara, who provided little info about the Akamus. Later on, Higgins' interview with Adam Akamu (who was out of the house at the time of the murders) revealed that Mrs. Akamu was suspected of having an affair, and it was uncovered that Clara was identified as having seen Mrs. Akamu and her lover on that night.
Higgins returned to Clara's home, where Clara claimed that she didn't want to elaborate further on the affair out of respect for the deceased; however, as Clara left to prepare tea, Higgins received a call from Gordon Katsumoto, which revealed that the gun used in the murders was registered to Clara's ex-husband. The information ended up revealing that the actual killer was Clara, who knocked out Higgins and tied her up. As Higgins discovered, Jonathan Akamu was the one having an affair, with Clara revealed as his illicit lover. When Jonathan refused to leave his family, Clara turned heel by entering the Akamu household with plans on killing Jonathan's wife and daughter, fulfilling her murderous deed before being suddenly encountered by Jonathan, who Clara also killed.
The unhinged villainess later took jewelry from the house to stage the murder as being committed during a robbery, and she falsely portrayed Mrs. Akamu as an adulteress to cover her own tracks. After voicing her happiness over admitting to the murders, the evil Clara turned on the gas on her stove in a plan to kill not only Higgins, but herself as well--adding that she wanted to be with Jonathan. Also, Clara claimed that Jonathan wanted to leave with her, and in regards to killing her lover during her murderous rage, the villainess stated that that Jonathan's early arrival shocked her, leading Clara to kill Jonathan as well. Katsumoto and his fellow officers arrived at the house and managed to save both women in time, leading to Clara being arrested.
