The evil Christie Dancer

Christie Dancer (Brianne Davis) is the main villainess from "¡Diablo!," episode 5.03 of Lucifer (airdate August 21, 2020).

Introduction

Christie Dancer is a character on the show-within-a-show, Lieutenant Diablo, though her actress' name is never revealed. The show was created by Matt Owens, who used Lucifer Morningstar's info about himself and his time in Los Angeles as inspiration, with Christie Dancer being based on Chloe Decker. Owens was found stabbed to death at Warner Bros. Studios, where an episode of Diablo was being taped. After filming stopped, Lucifer and Chloe spoke to Diablo and Christie, with the latter speaking fondly of the show before naming Keri Belwood, the show's new executive producer following Owens' murder, as a possible suspect.

Keri denied killing Owens, despite a possible motive being that she was upset over Owens taking credit for her work, with Keri shooting the motive down by stating that there was pressure regardless of the show's success or failure. Lucifer and Chloe encountered Christie and Diablo again at Matt's motel room, which the former pair visited under Keri's belief that Matt had a drug issue, only to find out that the room was a den for Matt to relax and focus.

Reveal

Christie and Diablo's appearance was due to the fact that they were attempting to solve the murder themselves, but later in the episode, Diablo was also found stabbed to death in his trailer. Daniel Espinosa informed Chloe that Keri sent Diablo's PA away, and when the knife was found inside her office, Keri was arrested. Christie sorrowfully spoke to Chloe regarding her co-star, stating that while he may have been annoyingly dimwitted, he was sweet, and she later took Chloe to the set of Diablo's nightclub, Hades (a satirical version of Lux). She also villified Keri, which included doing an impression of Keri; all the while, Lucifer and Daniel used a script from an upcoming episode to play out the scenes, with Lucifer seeing notes that realized that Diablo was investigating Owens' murder and had it figured out.

Chloe also had it figured after Christie spoke about an upcoming gig she had, and she mentioned Christie's impression of Keri, stating that it was good enough to fool certain people--mainly the PA and the two ADs. Chloe drew her gun, only for Christie to smash a bottle and attempt to attack Chloe, establishing her identity as a double murderess. As it turned out, Christie killed Owens under her belief that he was holding her back, and her original plan was to frame Diablo for the murder. However, after learning that Diablo had figured out the truth, the evil Christie mimicked Keri's voice to get the PA away from Diablo's trailer, before stabbing Diablo to death and planting the weapon in Keri's office.

The villainess vented over the thought of being on the series for (possibly) six years, and not being able to get gigs she really wanted, while adding that she killed Diablo because he was close to exposing her villainous ambition. Chloe managed to subdue Christie during her latest attack, leading to Christie's off-screen arrest.
