The evil Charlotte Cochran

Charlotte Cochran (Ashton Leigh) is the main villainess from "Diagnosis:  Negative," episode 4.02 of The Inspectors (airdate October 6, 2018). She is the manager/receptionist of the East River Orthodpedic Center, which had Preston Wainwright as its latest patient.

In actuality, Charlotte and her lover, trainer Jay Greene, were running a double billing scheme, which had the villainous couple billing for twice the amount of sessions that their patients actually had. In the beginning of the episode, the evil Charlotte contacted a nearby hospital regarding Preston, after which she showed her personality as a greedy villainess by smirking and gushing over making an immense amount of money for their latest scheme.

Amanda Wainwright and Mitch Ohlmeyer's investigation revealed that the couple had billed for 20 sessions for a past patient, Stephanie Rogers, who only took 10 sessions. Charlotte managed to cover their tracks and claimed that a clerical error caused problems for them, but after Jay met with Amanda and Mitch and realized that the former was Preston's mother, the couple started panicking. The inspectors found evidence that Jay forged the prescriptions, and he was doing so for Preston despite just starting with him, leading to Mitch arranging for a grand jury to indict Jay and Charlotte for 200 counts of mail fraud. The villainous couple was shown attempting to escape, but Mitch arrived with police and arrested both of them for their crimes.
