The evil Celine Fenway
Celine Fenway (Kimberly Huie) is the main villainess from "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," episode 4.10 of Private Eyes (airdate January 21, 2021). She is the wife of famed jazz music producer Tom Fenway.
Introduction[]
Celine first encountered Matt Shade, who was posing as an agent, during his visit to the Fenway house regarding the death of reclusive musician Charlie Brower, who was killed when his jazz club was burned down and had a scheduled meeting with Tom just hours before the fire. Celine only spoke about Charlie and Tom's working relationship, referring to Charlie as drunk and unreliable, which was why their association ended. Celine even went as far as accuse Charlie of starting the fire himself, and claimed that Tom was home with her on the night of the incident.
However, the episode's progression unveiled video footage from a hidden body camera of Charlie playing a new song, the first he had written in years, shortly before his death. Matt's ex-wife, Becca D'Orsay (who was working on a documentary on Charlie's life and club) and their daughter, Jules Shade, watched the footage and realized that Charlie's song was about an affair.
Reveal[]

Becca and Jules were stunned to hear that the name Charlie uttered was Celine's, revealing that they had begun an illicit affair during Celine's voice lessons at the club and that Charlie's song was about her. This led to Tom being suspected, though during Matt and Angie Everett's visit to Tom's home, the former found a dress with smoke stains, as well as a pin from Charlie's fedora inside a grill Celine had been burning earlier. All the while, Jules manipulated the audio settings to hear Celine voicing her anger at Charlie over his plans to release the song and protesting against it going public. Jules informed Matt about what she and her mother learned, and that Becca was going to meet with Celine to warn her. During that meeting, Becca informed Celine that she knew about her affair with Charlie and had evidence to back it up, believing that Tom killed Charlie over the affair and he would target his wife next.
In response to Becca's statements, Celine turned heel by pointing a gun at Becca--cementing her reveal as Charlie's killer. Following her heel turn, the evil Celine forced Becca at gunpoint to drive to a marina, where she planned to dispose of Becca's body and then flee to Cuba on her and Tom's boat. When Becca questioned her motive for killing Charlie, Celine revealed he wanted her to leave her husband so they could be together for real. However, Celine had no intentions of doing do because she enjoyed her wealthy life with Tom and had signed a prenuptial agreement where she would receive nothing if she committed adultery. Charlie's song going public would ruin Celine financially, leading to her setting the fire in a successful plan to kill her illicit lover by trapping him in the basement. The villainess ordered Becca to exit her car, only for Becca to reveal outside that she had been broadcasting their conversation live with a hidden body camera, including Celine's confession.
Just then, Matt appeared with a record of Charlie's song, offering it to her in exchange for Becca's safety. While demanding the record, the villainess admitted that she liked being Charlie's muse and being seen for who she was. At that moment, Angie appeared and took down Celine with an oar, and shortly afterwards, Inspector Matilda Carson arrived and arrested Celine for Charlie's murder.
