The psychotic Bree Lehvey

Bree Lehvey (Kristen Bauer van Straten) was the main villainess from the 2021 film, Paradise Cove.

Backstory[]

Bree Lehvey's backstory revealed that she was the wife of film producer Stephen Lehvey, with the marriage resulting in a son named Roman. At some point, Stephen left Bree for her best friend, Joan Carr; all the while, Bree's beach house ended up inhabited by Patricia Bannett, a squatter who didn't pay rent but paid Bree's luxury taxes, resulting in Patricia owning the deed to the house. With no home of her own, Bree lost custody of Roman to Stephen, and afterwards, Bree turned heel and planned to kill her ex-husband.

The maniacal villainess tampered with the brakes of Stephen's car as part of her plan, but her villainous plot not only killed Stephen, but Roman as well, as Roman (who was supposed to be in school that day) had a fever and was picked up by his father, after which their SUV ended up driven over a cliff. Bree was horrified when her murderous scheme unintentionally killed her son, but despite this, she blamed Patricia for her misfortune and her actions, and later burned her to death inside the house.

Events[]

The film's events saw Patricia's son, Knox Bannett, and his wife, Tracey, arrive at the abandoned house with plans to flip and sell the property. Regarding Bree, she was mentioned to Knox by Joan, who worked as a bartender, and the couple's first encounter came when Knox saw Bree showering outside the house. Knox officially met Bree on the following day, which saw Bree mention Patricia and feigning sorrow for her during her final days. She later broke down when she mentioned Roman, after which Knox gave money for Bree to use to get a place of her own.

However, Bree spent the money on groceries, and she later sent a cart towards Joan's car, with Joan seeing the damage and knowing that Bree was responsible. Joan confronted Bree inside her underground surroundings, only to be stabbed to death by the deranged villainess in an act of revenge. Bree later set her sights on harassing and terrorizing the Bannetts, beginning with informing Tracey about Patricia's role in stealing Bree's home from her, and also including having a barbecue for her homeless cohorts, as well as sneaking into Knox's shower and seducing him.

The couple later learned about Bree losing her husband and son, all the while, Bree spotted Knox's construction crew working and kicked over a ladder that Paco (one of the workers) was on, resulting in Paco being placed in a coma. After Bree smashed one of the windows, she ended up arrested and locked up, only to be bailed out by the Lamonts, the Bannetts' neighbors. The sinister madwoman later sabotaged Tracey's pregnancy test, with the negative result leaving Tracey to believe that she wasn't pregnant, when she actually was but lost the baby due to the stress of dealing with Bree, who also took Knox's planned $10,000 cash payment to Griff and burned it. As for Griff, he later confronted the villainess over the money and nearly killing Paco, and in response, the evil Bree bludgeoned Griff to death with a hammer.

Climax and Death[]

Bree Villainess

An angry Knox strangled Bree with his bare hands and placed her in the back of his truck, only for Bree to survive and escape, after which Bree appeared in the house and knocked out Tracey with a vase. After Knox was released from custody due to being cleared in Griff's murder, he entered to see Tracey being waterboarded by Bree's homeless henchmen, with Knox killing both of them to rescue his wife. He later faced Bree under the house, as the villainess possessed a blow torch and was set on burning down the house.

At this point, Bree revealed to Knox that she killed Patricia, blaming her for her misfortunes, which included the revelation that she tampered with her ex-husband's brakes in an attempt to kill him, only to end up killing both Stephen and Roman in the process. The villainess started the fire, only to be tackled by Knox, with the brawl sending both of them to the ocean. Bree feigned distress and called out for Knox, after which Bree struck Knox's head with a rock, knocking him out. However, Knox regained consciousness and bashed Bree's head into the stationary rocks, killing her instantly.
