The evil Ava Worth
Ava Worth (Layla Cushman) is the main villainess from the 2023 Lifetime film, Murder at the Country Club (originally titled, Country Club Scandal; airdate September 24, 2023).
Backstory and Introduction[]
Ava Worth worked under Frank Sanders at the Pinecrest Country Club, and she was first shown welcoming newly hired assistant manager Cassie Randolf, who was replacing Lisa Harkin. As the film quickly established, Ava and Frank were in a romantic relationship, and it was also uncovered that Frank had been embezzling the club's money. In addition, Ava had been covering up for Frank, in exchange for a cut of the ill-gotten money, but regarding Lisa, she found out about the embezzlement and planned to go public.
Ava killed Lisa in the film's opening, but as the film progressed, the villainess ended up confronted by Lisa's sister, Tracy Harkin, who suspected that something was going on, only for Ava to eject her. In addition, Milo (a friend of Lisa's) also voiced his suspicions regarding the embezzlement, and after learning about this, the evil Ava ran down Milo in an attempt to kill him. Milo survived the attempt, and afterwards, the villainess attempted to kill Tracy by cutting her brake line, only for Tracy to survive the crash.

As for Cassie, she learned about the embezzlement and other misdeeds and confronted Ava, who attempted to deny everything, only for Cassie to realize that Ava was involved. Ava fired Cassie, but in the film's climax, Cassie snuck back into the club and printed out Lisa's documents that proved the embezzlement, while overhearing Ava and Frank's tryst in the former's office. Cassie's phone going off was heard by the pair, leading to Frank capturing Cassie while Ava suddenly pulled out a gun. To Frank's shock, Ava admitted to killing Lisa to cover up her and Frank's crimes, and she also admitted to the attempts on Milo and Tracy.
In addition, Ava announced her plan to kill Cassie before ordering Frank to take Cassie to the golf course. Ava's plan was to make Lisa's murder look like a mugging and attack, only for Tracy to appear and tackle Ava, with Cassie firing the gun into the air during the melee. Tracy demanded to know Lisa's whereabouts, and after repeating her murderous confession, Ava revealed that Lisa's body was in the pond near the 16th hole, which was followed by the villainess voicing her anger and frustration over covering up the club's crimes. Afterwards, Ava was handcuffed and arrested for Lisa's murder, as well as her other crimes.
