Audrey Burchill (Deidre Gillard-Rowlings) is the main villainess from "Two Jakes and a Baby," episode 3.08 of Republic of Doyle (airdate February 29, 2012).

Backstory

Audrey Burchill's backstory only revealed that she is a serial kidnapper, often working with Logan Hicks in abducting people for ransom. At some point prior to the episode's events, Logan ended up arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison, but with his sentence set to end in a month, Audrey decided to abduct Logan's daughter, Fiona Michaels, as part of her plan to obtain Logan's stash of money from their abductions.

Events

Audrey committed Fiona's abduction in the episode's events, colluding with Rodney Cooper in the scheme. The pair took Fiona from the home of her boyfriend, Smith Carson, before Audrey shot and killed Rodney once his mask fell off. Because Rodney had stolen Jake Doyle's identity and had been living as Jake for three weeks, it was believed that Jake was the one killed; however, Jake had been in prison following the events of the previous episode, "High School Confidential."

Under the orders of promoted Staff Sergeant Daniel Hood (a promotion that didn't last long), Leslie Bennett released both Jake and Logan in their quest to save Fiona from Audrey, who first appeared inside Logan's old warehouse and held Fiona at gunpoint. The villainess warned the pair that they would hear from her later, and it was later in the episode that Audrey's demands were recited by Fiona in a ransom video: demanding $20,000 or Audrey would kill Fiona. However, the planned ransom drop was part of Audrey's true plan to kill Jake and Logan, as she placed an explosive in the can where the money was supposed to be dropped, with Logan saving Jake after sensing a trap.

In the episode's climax, the evil Audrey shot and killed Smith during her search for the money, and met with Jake, Logan, and Malachy Doyle at the warehouse, while again holding Fiona at gunpoint. Logan raised his own gun, with Audrey mocking Logan and stating that he wouldn't shoot her with Fiona in the line of fire. At that moment, Logan fired a shot at Audrey's ransom, causing it to be burned up, leading to the panicked villainess attempting to retrieve her loot before Jake stopped her. In actuality, the money was a prop and Logan had the actual $20,000 (which Jake got back from Logan later on), and after her defeat, Audrey was arrested (off-screen).
