April Ferris (Meredith Monroe) is the main villainess from "Cracked," episode 8.06 of NCIS (airdate October 26, 2010). She is an engineer at Gen-1 Biotech, which also employed Navy Lieutenant Clea Thorson, who was killed in the beginning of the episode.
April had harbored jealousy of Thorson, as she felt that the higher-ups treated Thorson with more regard and praise over her. She devised a murderous plot to move up the corporate ladder, which began with poisoning Thorson. Knowing Thorson's routines, April slipped a poisonous container inside a shower that Thorson used frequently. As a result of the poisoning, Thorson began acting erratically and became paranoid, and as shown in the beginning of the episode, she attempted to cross a street and was killed by an oncoming bus. Meanwhile, the evil April stole Thorson's projects, and later killed her boss, Martin Stillwell, with the same poison to take his position as head of the company.
April was revealed as the killer in the episode's final scenes, when she was confronted by Gibbs, Ziva, and DiNozzo. Ziva read an excerpt where Thorson stated that she hoped that she and April would be good friends, and at that moment, April vented over how she was overlooked in favor of Thorson. Gibbs later placed April under arrest for killing Thorson and Stillwell.
