Janice a.k.a Annabelle Higgins
Annabelle Higgins (born Janice) is the main antagonist in The Conjuring Universe and the titular villainess in the Annabelle trilogy. She is portrayed by Talitha Bateman as a child and Tree O'Toole as an adult.

In 1955, Janice as well as other orphaned girls and their guardian Sister Charlotte moved into the home of Samuel and Esther Mullins, a couple who tragically lost their daughter Annabelle 12 years prior to the films events. Janice suffered from Polio and was treated differently by the other orphans with her only friend being Linda, who befriended the latter out of sympathy. Janice attempts to go into Annabelle's room which was locked after the doll that was created by Mr. Mullins was possessed by an evil spirit pretending to be Annabelle but it stopped by Mr. Mullins himself. Janice tells Sister Charlotte about her deed and says that she is afraid the demon is attached to her because she is psychically impaired but Sister Charlotte tells her that demons only go after those who are weak of faith. However, the demon lures Janice into the room sensing that Janice is the weakest of all the children. Janice goes into Annabelle's room and finds the doll but is too terrified to interact with it and covers it up. The demon (who takes the form of Annabelle) attacks Janice making it impossible for her to escape and later throws Janice to the ground so hard forcing her to use a wheelchair to get around. Sister Charlotte then takes Janice outside to get some fresh air but the demon (using the form of Sister Charlotte) wheels Janice into the barn and throws her to the ground. The demon then takes the form of Annabelle and possesses Janice causing Janice to then team up with the demon to attack the other children and Sister Charlotte. After killing Mr. Mullins, Janice then sets her sights on Linda, who she feels betrayed her. After chasing Linda upstairs into Annabelle's room, Janice prepares to stab Linda and tells Linda that she broke her swear that the two would be placed in the same home (in reference to Janice's possession). Before Janice can harm Linda, Sister Charlotte arrives and puts Janice in Annabelle's closet with the doll but Janice escapes. Janice is last spotted at an orphanage where she introduces herself as Annabelle gets adopted by Pete and Sharon Higgins.

12 years later, a now teenage Annabelle has ran away from home and joined a Satanic group called The Disciples of the Ram, a group dedicated to giving demonic entities more power and serving the Devil. In 1967, Annabelle returns home with her boyfriend and the deranged couple attack and murder her parents as Annabelle slits her father's throat while her boyfriend stabs her mother to death. Upon hearing the screams, their next door neighbor Mia, sends her husband John to investigate. John finds the couple dead and instructs Mia to call the police which she does. All the while, Annabelle and her boyfriend broke into Mia and John's home with Annabelle grabbing the doll and cradling the doll while eerily stating she likes Mia's doll collection. Mia then begs for Annabelle to leave but Annabelle's boyfriend grabs Mia and stabs the pregnant woman in the stomach before John rushes in to save his wife. As Mia tries to escape, Annabelle bum rushes her before being subdued by John who forces Annabelle to drop her knife. The police arrive and shoot Annabelle's boyfriend dead while Annabelle locks herself in the Nursery and slits her own throat committing suicide. When the police find her body, they also find the doll sitting in her lap as Annabelle's blood drips onto the doll. After her death, the same demon that terrorized both the Mullins and the orphaned girls terrorizes Mia using the form of Annabelle such as running towards Mia and even approaching Lia's crib while Mia takes a nap. When Father Perez, Mia and John's Priest, attempts to take the cursed doll into the church, the demon in the form of Annabelle, violently throws him away from the church forcing him to the ground causing him to be hospitalized. Father Perez then reveals to John that the reason the demon is attacking them is because it wants a soul and is going after the couple's infant daughter Lia. This is the last time Annabelle appears in the movie.

Annabelle makes a brief cameo appearance in Judy's Warrens room where she eerily repeats her infamous line I like your dolls but is not seen for the rest of the movie.
